Good to hear Dramaticat :) Keep up the good work and don't do anything "silly". Using the wheelchair sounds like a good idea as you build the strength back up.

Well done Dramaticat! :D
Keep up the exercises, they're bound to help.

I have told my son to keep in touch when he can. He hasn't taken a computer with him - apparently he didn't have room for a jacket even much to my husbands disapproval! So certainly no room for laptop, let alone a webcam. I shall be relying on him taking advantage of internet cafes when he finds them. We'll see.............

His sister (2 years older) tells me she managed to ring him this morning to offer some "make the most of it" big-sisterly advice

Scary drive home today. Very high gusty winds with horizontal rain and I could feel the car being moved :o . Sever gales forecasted for later tonight. Thinking of our frien who is terrified of High Winds - last year when she was leaving at lunch time - there was a particularly high gust of wind and she was lifted into the air and slammed into a wall, she will not mind me saying that she is not a slightly built person

High winds are definitely scarey - mind you, we've a friend in Australia not far from the cyclone's expected route... apparently people in one of the towns near where she lives were told 'if you haven't left by now, don't, because you will die'... now that's scarey!

That puts our gales in perspective. I work for the National Australia bank and the own the Clydesdale and the Yorkshire banks here. The photographs we have of the devastation are remarkable

...getting back on-line. Finally.
I will be trying to sort out the on-line puzzles and passwords but please don't panic if you don't get anything today!
Never put off till tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.
All of my puzzles are simple and obvious. For certain values of "simple" and "obvious".

Welcome back Scurra. Don't stress, we know you've been having a nightmare. It'll all get done soon enough.

Have a safe flight back LAT! :D

I've just had to go and fetch the girls from about 10 miles away. Having spent most of the afternoon receiving increasingly frantic text messages from Lally, saying she had no bus money (not sure why since I put it out in the kitchen this morning) she managed to borrow some off a friend of a friend. Then about halfway home on the bus there was a loud bang and the bus's door exploded in a big shower of glass, so the bus driver phoned for a replacement bus and I had a series of phone calls from K about whether or not they were stranded for the foreseeable future. I decided I had better go and fetch them. Serves me right for refusing to rescue Lally when she texted.

Ohh flipping heck, Giraffe. That's quite an ending to the school week, isn't it??

(To Clvrlad)...and there was me being nice for a change... I should have known it would be a bad move. OK then, is this better?

Come on Scurra, you have no excuse whatsoever. What do you mean, "you haven't had internet connection" and "I'm having to code pages and pages in a new website which doesn't appear to be working"? What a rubbish excuse. We all know you're secretly in the bath with lots of bubbles having a Cadbury Flake moment !! (He does that, you know).

You can just imagine it, can't you? The dulcet tones of "Only the crumbliest, flakiest chocolate..." drifting from the window at the top of Scurra's castle, and the waft of soothing mimosa bath milk slides, seductively, from under the bathroom door...

Do I need some kind of TREATMENT??? :?
