Re: london
You're going to visit a shoe?
Sorry, I don't know anything about ticket offices. Maybe if you're around (and don't mind and I'm not on holiday) we could meet up for a coffee?

OK I'll be in touch nearer the time. Who knows? We might be able to convince Scurra to come too (?)And if the two of us don't make your sister think you're consorting with Loonies then she's VERY understanding!
Good luck with the show / hotel hunt.

Oh no, not another one!!
You two probably keep the British shoe industry going all on your own...(although the Fraggle's only keeping the CHILDREN'S shoe industry going...

Re: london
Spent all day looking for shoes for the wedding - checked every shoe shop in Coleraine and tried all the children's departments. It's so hard being a size 3 in shoes. We went into a department store and I asked the girl if she sold shoes - she said NO and Ivan cheered and all the people in the shop laughed
Re: london
I have the opposite problem being an 8. A lot of shops stop at a 7. I used to have a friend with the same size feet (she's still a friend, I just don't see her very often) and we would shop for shoes together and just get them to bring every 8 they had out for us to try!

Re: london
There used to be a little and large section in Evans - I loved going in there!
Re: london
Well I normally go to Brantano, they start at a 2 and go up to 10 and the shoes ar all out on the shelves like a supermarket, so you can see at once if they have the style in your size. I've just looked at their website and they don't look like they have branches in NI. Evans still do big sizes. (not looked for small)
I refuse to buy uncomfortable shoes, I go for ugly before uncomfortable. It can ruin the day if your feet hurt.

Re: london
That's why i want a good pair of shoes for the day. High stilettos are definitely out for me. It'd be like walking on stilts. I saw a lovely pair today but they were £164.99 - I didn't like them THAT much!

Re: london
£164.99???
Are people MAD?
Mind you, I spend loads of money on shoes because I keep buying them and then find they're uncomfortable so I don't wear them.
Oh, and I have the smelliest feet in the whole world, so I can't keep summer shoes for longer than a season.

Re: london
Oh, trust me, I think I should be able to claim disability allowance because of it. They are TERRIBLE.
The thing which drives me up the wall is that apparently it's ok for MEN to have smelly feet - that's FUNNY. Apparently. But if you're a girl then it's just weird.
Honestly, I have to apply deodorant to my feet if I want to wear sandals, and I always carry peppermint foot cologne with me too.
Mind you, they're not as bad as mad brother in law's. He is a tree surgeon / gardener, and works in wet boots quite often. His feet were so awful his wife sent him to the doctor. It turns out he has TRENCH FOOT.

Well, I don't think I have very much that's lovely, but I suppose that worse things live at the bottom of the ocean...Redfraggle wrote:Well the rest of you is lovely so we'll overlook your feet.![]()

I'm still searching for any part of me that could remotely be called lovely. It's certainly not my feet either as they are an awful shape.

To Redfraggle
I think you could call me a lot of things (and let's be honest, quite a few people do) but BONY is not one of them!!
(Squidgylump, maybe).
