Re: snow
Snow? Here in Budmouth Regis we had all of....... 3 mm. Or 1/8 inch if you prefer imperial.
Here and there it drifted against the kerbstones and got to depths of about an inch. Or 25 mm if you prefer metric.

Re: snow
The tropical paradise of Salford has no snow left. We had one shower and it looked nice on Monday but today it has just vanished.
Went to my Daughters tonight, she lives in Mossley half way up the Pennines on the Lancashire side, the road just past her house is called three Shire Road as it is very near the place where Lancs, Yorks and Ches rub noses.
The pavements there are bad and Son in Law who teaches at a local school was off all day (School is on a hill that pupils are normally roped together on the way in) Daughter runs a school Kitchen in Manchester was in at work and her school was open.
So no panics at this stage, not sure about all the dire warnings we seem to be getting for this weekend though

Well just as long as it's only 8 inches of snow at 3am, Kathlyn...

I don't put my Mod hat on very often in /general threads you know.
But I think Bunny must have started drinking early tonight
(Then again, she's had an early peek at some of my new puzzles. So perhaps she has started drinking already?!)

Never put off till tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.
All of my puzzles are simple and obvious. For certain values of "simple" and "obvious".

Re: snow
There is still plenty of snow at our house and I decided that I was going to build an igloo today but just as we were going to get changed because of bad weather conditions, giraffe had a change of heart and took us to school instead.

Evil mother!!
Well, if it makes you feel any better, our school was closed today, and I had to go on a course, which wasn't.

Re: snow
When I got to work on Tuesday about mid-morning somebody had built a snowman outside a neighbouring office, about 7 feet tall and leaning very slightly backwards. It is now leaning against the wall - just as if it's a worker who has popped outside for a quick cigarette.

Re: snow
Here is a wonderful comment from a 3 year old.
Grandson noticed strange footprints in the snow on our drive so I had to explain that they belonged to the urban fox population who were looking for food at night. As he feeds the squirrels, birds and hedgehogs- without fail every day- he said that the foxes like coming to our house. They always get food here.
Half an hour later, on the way to the shops, he wanted to know why some houses had "poo" outside their gates.
I'd not had the chance to think of an answer when he came up with the solution. All the houses that had bird tables in the gardens had no poo outside. So - by logical deduction- foxes poo outside houses that dont leave food for them.
Why did that make sense
