Thank you so much Wulfruna! I've been looking into ruins, and nothing else. Beaches-well, I'm not a sun person (easy burning) but it's an island for goodness sake. We should be able to find at least one right?

(My idea, not a comment on your post.
I've many more things to go look up now. And the area to stay away from! Greatly appreciated. I don't want to have an evening with any drunken sod around -other than myself.
Now if you could just tell me where the puzzle shops are.....I'd be one happy camper!

Please look away now. I'm about to be insufferably smug.
Just got a phone call from Dibble. Now, please bear in mind that although he put a huge amount of effort into his research project at Exeter university and into all his coursework, he ran out of time and did NO revision for his finals.

So I've been on tenderhooks wondering what the outcome will be, and panicking because, after all, he will still have £21 000 worth of debt whether or not he got a degree.

So guess what the little s*d got?

Well I don't have anything to show off about for myself so I'm making the most of enjoying his success.

I've just sent him a congratulations card complete with a Dumbledore postage stamp.

Oh, trust me, I didn't supply the brainpower side of things. I just supplied the madness and the length of leg.

I think the brains skipped a generation and got passed down from his Nanny. She would have been SO chuffed (biology was her subject too).

Well, he's still in Cornwall until the end of the month. But no doubt we'll manage something when he's back.

Hey, they give people A* in their GCSE just for turning up to the exam these days...

Never put off till tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.

Well, I do agree that GCSEs are easier than O levels were. But that is rather a different kettle of fish.
I must say that he's really worked his socks off, and I've read through some of his research and it is REALLY complicated, but also really interesting. His lack of revision for his finals did really concern me, but as (totally unlike his mother) he appears to have a virtually photographic memory, he's managed to pull it out of the bag. I'm really proud of him and think it's a real achievement. I know I could never have done anything like that.

I think the jester was jesting. He'd better not let K and F hear him say that after what they have spent the last few weeks doing.
