I do. What do you need, and when?

Me too. Not before Saturday though.

Thanks, Looby is going to let me know if her mission to Tesco's is successful later.

If not, there's a huge one here. Let me know.

Thank you all. Everything round here is small and pathetic.
Re: Tesco?
I've got a big one near me too, but it's probably the same one that Looby will try.
Round here it's just me that's small and pathetic. Actually, not even that small either but I'm working on it.

Everything around here is big, has tattoos and has its head shaved. Or that is what it seems like.giraffe wrote:Thank you all. Everything round here is small and pathetic.

Well I hope you are anyway.

You could have one of those almost shaved heads, with the puzzlebrains logo shaved into it!

Re: Tesco?
I actually hate Tesco. Yes, it is massive, and does sell everything you could ever want (and everything you didn't ever want as well - it's one of those ones with clothes, books, stationery, televisions, toys, mobile phones, petrol...oh yeah, and FOOD). But at risk of sounding like a total snob it is heaving full of chavs. Most of the women seem to be the sort with a gap round their midriff and loads of flab hanging out. They always have loads of unruly, snotty children dressed in fashionable tat who all have earrings even if they are 3 months old. So although I do go there because it sells lots of stuff and is nearby, I occasionally treat myself and drive to St Albans and go to Waitrose. Which is full of posh people with children called things like "Archie darling" who are being encouraged to "go and choose Mummy a really super looking artichoke". But at least they don't ram you with their trolley when they want to get past and don't generally let their horrid little "Chanel" or "Tyler" wipe chewing gum or snot on your trousers when you're queuing at the checkout...

Re: Tesco?
I usually go to Sainsbury's, it's slightly nearer than Tesco and the staff are much nicer. The big Tesco is quite like the one you describe Bunny but it is right next to a massive M&S so it has it's advantages and does therefore have quite a mix of customers.
I find that if I ask someone where something is in Tesco they will point vaguely in the right direction. In Sainsbury's they will tell you exactly where in which aisle and offer to take you there.
And I now have so many nectar points I could spend £600 on easyjet flights!
I keep forgetting to use them.

Re: Tesco?
Having done a phone search first and being told they only had size 12 or 14 at the Meadows, but there was a size 8 at Aldershot I went that way home from tonights meeting. The staff were all really helpful and nice and I have come home with said jacket!!
...and it was the only one!

Oh well done Looby.
I often forget about the Aldershot branch.

Re: Tesco?
Looby is a superstar! Thank you.
Having found something fusspot daughter was prepared to wear (new school insists sixthformers wear suits and she has to wear it on her induction day in July!) they didn't have the jacket in her size, and I bought the other part thinking I would get the jacket online, only to find it was out of stock. Thanks to Looby's kindness panic over.
And thank you to the rest of you kind people who offered help.
I shop at Asda, not because I think it is better, although it is cheaper than some, but it is within walking distance. Not that I walk because it is uphill all the way back and I couldn't carry all the shopping! And because it is local I know most of the staff that work there as they live in our village.

Re: Tesco?
Looby, is your real name Chanel, and are you snotty? Do you have a giant sized packed of Monster Munch clasped firmly in your hand at all times? If so, can I please send you my cleaning bill?
It must be said that of course I am to be seen in Tesco too, looking like something the cat dragged in. But even I haven't been there in my pyjamas. Yet.
Good job on the purchase...

And, as everyone knows, Sainsbury's is only there to keep the riff-raff out of Waitrose.LAT wrote:I usually go to Sainsbury's, it's slightly nearer than Tesco and the staff are much nicer.
