Sorry, shouldn't laugh, but you do create quite a picture there, Gill!
Oh laugh away   I walked into fraggles to get my hair blow dried and Mr best man was there already. I relayed my feelings about tottering around and feeling like a hooker and guess what he said? "Bet you had to wait on the corner for ages while all the traffic went past" The B of it was he was right.

Edit: I think you can all guess it was a really good day!!

My charming husband said I'd probably only get a good return if I stood on the street corner if I was prepared to sell my body by the pound...

I've broken a couple of toes. If it's not the big one it's best to strap it to the next one, but if it's the big one that won't work. Gill if it's at an angle it ought to be straightened, that could cause long term problems.

Awhh Bunny that's not a nice thing to say. Do you want me to kick your husband too?

Gill - you were lovely at the wedding - I got the official pics today!

I might go to casualty tomorrow but I also have to babysit.

THAT is why I DON'T have a broken toe...  (My husband has buns of lard).

Speaking of buns, don't know why this suddenly came back to me but:

About 5 years ago we hired a big hoose in Scotland and went there with OH's family. We organised a great big get together for all the Scots contingent. There was a giant hexagonal table in the kitchen which we ate at. One morning my Brother in Law drove to the bakery and bought the biggest pile of buns you've ever seen for breakfast. We piled them up in a big wall on the table and took a photo. When all the Scots were there, we had a laptop with pictures on slideshow, including the bun wall. One of OH's second cousins -who is a drunk, known as "Kenny the Doo" (because he keeps pigeons) was swaying around looking at the pictures. He said "What's this shite they show on TV these days? Who wants to look at a pile of buns??" We kept it up all night, telling him it was an English BBC programme called "Bun TV". He believed us!!

K is off to her school prom tonight. I think it is more of a dinner with a bit of a disco afterwards, as it is a girls' school I think they are only expecting a handful of boys as invited guests of the ones who have a boyfriend! When she was all dressed up she looked about 21! :o

The piano teacher was here when she left, and he said he couldn't believe that the little dot he started teaching ten years ago had grown into such a young lady all of a sudden.

Aw, doesn't she look beautiful? :D Hope it's a great evening!

My niece (who's the same age) had her "prom" last week. She stopped off so we could all "ooh" and "aah" at the dress. Her Dad (mad brother in law) was driving her in a Triumph supermini convertible which he had borrowed from "some bloke at the pub"; he was dressed as a chauffeur! Mind you, I was rather alarmed when he said that it was a bit tricky to drive, because it had "no brakes"!!

Aw, that's a beautiful picture.

Today I've mostly bin finding out that 2 of my pupils have passed their exams (phew!). I wasn't worried about either of them, until the grade 5 flautist casually told me that she wouldn't be at all surprised if she failed, as everything went wrong in the exam. She didn't mention that at the time! Anyhow, two more results to wait for, and they should both be ok too, hopefully.
