Leah and baby are doing fine. 6lb 2oz baby girl un-named as yet. :D

Just spoken to Judith on the phone. For anyone who has heard about her nephew he is also improving. He has an infection and has spat out his tube which is a very good sign.

Granny Fraggle!!

Ivan has just told me he was too busy being driver to get my Valentine card in the post but it should arrive Monday :lol:

Hi all

Just got online for a mo! WOW!!! what a night. I was sent a pic of the baby but I cant get the thing opened :evil: Apparently she is very alert and has a mop of dark hair. I cant wait to kiss her wee face.

I havent been online as I got a new kitchen installed and there was MAJOR rewiring to be done. Hence no access to PC.

My nephew was rushed into hospital tonight by ambulance where he had taken a seizure and wasnt responding to any medication. Leah was in the delivery suite and Ivan and I were playing taxi and counsellor to my sister! I also lifted a bookcase and put my back out so Im hobbling everywhere. So on the fourth trip to the hospital tonight I got the phonecall that I was a granny and then we got the news that my nephew had spit out his breathing tube - a good sign! Its a bad infection.

On the way home I got a phonecall from Stuarty (the new dad) who was wandering around the car park looking for me to sneak me up to see the baby :lol:

But anyway, Im signing off now and having a well earned sleep! Oh what a night! :D

Quick update.

Fraggles nephew is getting better.

At 1 o'clock Fraggle was out buying pink things and was meeting grand-daughter at 2pm. Leahs first thoughts of a name is Carmen. As we all know that may not be set in stone and could change. I'l keep you all posted if I hear anything more.

Great news about Leah and the 'wee one' - so we now have a Granny Fraggle on board. Does anyone think it will make her more adult and responsible???? :evil:

Some of us know the nature of Mother and Daughter, so are there any bets on the Granddaughter being a quiet, shy retiring soul?

Love to all the family anyway :)

I hope the nephew is over the worst and continues improving.

Any progress on the name decision yet?
If you want to link it to the day, you could always call her Valerie.
Or, considering she's the daughter of Leah, how about Helen? (That's Greek mythology.)

Whatever gets chosen, I wish her all the luck in the world (Luck of the Irish?). And it's hard to think of someone your age as a granny - you're only a year or so older than me!
