I think a couple of people have expressed a preference for w/e 22nd October so assuming that date who else would be interested in coming?
I'm seriously looking at this so far that I've been on the train website and I know that at the moment I could book tickets without breaking the bank. If things are still 'on' I may book these and worry about sleeping arrangements closer the time.

LAT and I were talking about this last weekend and she was going to look into whether there was still availability of tickets etc. I know she's been a bit poorly so may not have had the chance yet but we are planning to go.

Right folks, I think we need to start thinking about this. Dramaticat has said that she will keep an eye on ticket sales and earmark some for us (as she is in charge! :D ) but she will need an idea of who is seriously considering coming so that she knows what number to think about. At the moment this is just a show of hands please to get an indication of possible numbers.
Also, are we talking about the Saturday night or the Friday? It would ne helpful to know preferences and/or if only available for one or the other.

Then as sales progress we will have to make a firmer commitment so that tickets aren't held back that could be sold to others. At that point we will become liable for the cost of the tickets.

Dramaticat has also offered to look into hotels nearby and report back on that so more info coming up.

So who is up for this?

Hope you all enjoy yourselves

I'm checking out travel Friday till Monday (planning to stay in London) - so Saturday would be my vote for the show.

Fingers crossed I can get things sorted, but I do want a break in the big city ;)

I'm not sure Eynsford counts as the Big City - but it is very pretty :D

Can someone remind me about the location we are talking about? It seems to be lost in the mists and I can't find the info. However, I am a bit doubtful whether I could manage it in any case, having just acquired a college re-union date the weekend before.....

Eynsford is in North Kent, in between Dartford and Sevenoaks, not too far away from Brands Hatch, but extremely close to Junction 3 on the M25! It also has a train station :D

Well - I've committed myself. Got train tickets to London down on the Friday and back on the Monday. So I'll find myself somewhere to put my head down for the nights and check out the local travel to Eynsford for the Saturday night.

£27.50 each way is not bad - but I need to make the decisions on things like this NOW to get those deals.

I've seen or heard no plans yet - are people getting together ? Let me know what everyone is doing and I'll find out if I can fit in with things.

Well Looby and I are certainly planning on staying at least the night of the play, and possibly both nights. At least I was assuming we were. And I imagine others will too. It's further to get home than I fancy driving at night. Besides which it won't be a proper meet if there isn't some eating, drinking and nattering done too! :D

And a ford. And a falconry centre. And a Roman Villa archaeological centre close by.
