Oh you bet! Trouble is while the answer to BUN/BURST sounded plausible I didn't understand the other one at all.MBH wrote: I hope that for you efforts you got it to tell you the answer to BUN/BURST and ACROBAT/BROWSE before you let it go.

Been to get K's GCSE results. 7A*s 3As and a B in additional maths that she was convinced she had failed! What a relief! I knew she was capable, but she has been so fed up with school the last two years that I was hoping she didn't blow it completely.

That is a great set of results - good work Kingsley.
I wonder how many bonus marks she got for being a PuzzleBrainer Must be worth something.
It's a long way from my wide scattering of Bs and Cs (through to CSE grade 5 in German).

Wow Kingsley - that's fantastic! We all knew you could do it. Perhaps the old High School was not so awful after all....?
And congratulations too to the proud Mum.... that long neck just reached a bit higher to the heavens, I guess

Re: Today I've mostly bin...
Well, I've had a right day! I woke up to discover my laptop had stopped working. Took it to PC world who said it would cost hundreds to repair. So went to Staples, Maplins etc. looking at various laptops. Then went to the local little tiny repair shop who said they'd probably be able to fix it for £85. Left it with them, and went to meet one of my other Brownie leaders, who informed me that one of the other Brownie leaders who was going to be taking a year out before going to uni has been offered a place in Wales and is leaving in 3 weeks! So, by 10.00am, I was a computer and a Brownie leader down!
Anyhoo, the laptop can't be fixed, so I now have a new one (after another couple of hours faffing in PC world), and none of the keys seem to be where I want them to be. I'm on new versions of word and excell, so none of the buttons are where I want them to be. None of my favourites are here. I'm feeling very lost and confused and have come to the conclusing that I DON'T LIKE CHANGE!!!

You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it.

Re: Today I've mostly bin...
I've just seen the opening number (before my wireless signal started playing up) and I'm hooked I'll catch this some time during the week.
Thanks for the pointer.

That was a really fun prom last night.

Re: Today I've mostly bin...
I listened to it live, a couple of weeks ago. There have been some great Proms this year (the film music one was great, as was Nigel Kennedy doing Bach.)

Re: Today I've mostly bin...
LIVE live? Or on the radio live? If it was really live, then I'm very jealous!!! If it wasn't for the fact that my sister who lives in London was up here visiting us, I would have been down there visiting her and dragging her along too!
