n00bz - n00b 14 needed
Re: n00bz -Round 11
Perhaps there should be bonus points available for getting exactly the same order as someone else.

Re: n00bz -Round 11
I'd quite like some extra points if I managed to use each name once and once only.

If anyone loses squintillions of points, it'll probably put them level with me! (and that's providing I get 0 or above).Bunnylump wrote:Look. If anyone loses squintillions of points, and it really upsets them, I'll gladly swap scores with them. I'm good at losing games!(And actually, as the official Ambrosian President I insist.)
Re: n00bz -Round 11
Me too. I think I might have missed out someone. I'd also like some points for actually sending in my entry!Bunnylump wrote:I'd quite like some extra points if I managed to use each name once and once only.
Re: n00bz -Round 11
But then what we could do is send pm's around to a few people and using he same order as them.giraffe wrote:Perhaps there should be bonus points available for getting exactly the same order as someone else.
OOPS. I shouldn't have said that, you never know, Cenwulf might have changed the rules and said that Giraffe's idea was a good one.
Re: n00bz -Round 11
some of you don't even need to use PM's to do that
Re: n00bz -Round 11
You think they are on speaking terms?

Definitely not. He's been hogging the upstairs computer all morning.giraffe wrote:You think they are on speaking terms?

And more bonus points for getting an order which satisfies the criteria! (Or penalty points for breaking the rulesBunnylump wrote:I'd quite like some extra points if I managed to use each name once and once only.

Re: n00bz -Round 11
I am still awaiting submissions from Scurra and MBH.
However, a submission which says you are refusing to submit an entry will cost you 10 penalty points.
Looby has been allowed to sit out this round due to special circumstances - and this was allowed because I was notified while we were between rounds.
No extra points for getting them in the same order (or even the same place) as another n00b.
No extra points for using each name once and once only, or for having a go, or for getting an order which satisfies the criteria.
And definitely no extra points for begging.

Re: n00bz -Round 11
Well, I have seen it performed at my local theatre.
At the Other Place, I wrote:...last Friday (26th Sep)...I went to see Chess, performed by WOS, the local musical theatre group.
I must say that it was definitely worth going to see. From start to finish, it was a good show, and the members of WOS are excellent performers - you could say they are professional amateurs! As there are only officially two female leading characters, it was helpful that the Arbiter is not given a gender, as in this production it was played by a woman (with 'he' replaced by 'she' in the Arbiter's song). But doing this meant that One Night in Bangkok had to be sung by Freddie. But he did it very well!
...
Overall, with a good cast, good singers, good dancers and a good set and props it was definitely a night to remember.

Maybe you could dock points for having to remind to n00bz to send their entries!Cenwulf wrote:I am still awaiting submissions from Scurra and MBH.
It might be more beneficial to submit and lose just 10 points instead of lots for getting the wrong answer. Maybe I did the wrong thing in entering an answer...Cenwulf wrote:However, a submission which says you are refusing to submit an entry will cost you 10 penalty points.
Re: n00bz -Round 11
The old system made losing points highly likely and -10 looked like a decent score!
The new system is much more friendly, and I think -10 would be quite a bad score. Which is why I did decide to submit something in the end.
I still think that a negative score could be viewed as a good result though.

Oi! No Fair... The other ones I could answer with what I've already got rattling around in my brain - I haven't had time for shuffling a pack of brothers (unless I go the 'random' route that makes me look silly)kingsley wrote:Maybe you could dock points for having to remind to n00bz to send their entries!Cenwulf wrote:I am still awaiting submissions from Scurra and MBH.![]()
