Giraffe is right - the side that is warm is the side that faces the sun. At present it is not possible to be moved because the phones operate through the computer and the server we have to be in that area along with the dreaded wall board.

I have a thermometer in the area but my colleague struck the nail on the head when he mentioned wind chill. I shall keep a check on that. However we have quarterly meeting and on the next one I am going to ask a senior manager to sit with me in the area where I sit for a day with the proviso they must not wear a suit and only leave the area when I am able to leave it. I should think that might lead to a solution

HELP!

Someone has stolen the strip at the bottom that has the clock on it. I have a little gap where I can see through to the opening screen with the icons on it. Any ideas?

That strip does have a 'hide' option, but you need to set it. Usually if you move your mouse down to where the bar should be it comes back for use and then vanishes when you move off it.

Right-click on the strip and you can usually get to the settings/options for it - there may be a tick in the "Hide" box.

EDIT: Just remembered it is also re-sizable (like a 'window'). Clicking on the top edge of it and dragging can make it bigger or make it shrink to nothing. I use the 'Windows' button on the keyboard to make the 'Start' area appear, then resize it back to it's propper shape and size.

I have tried taking my mouse to the bottom edge to see if an arrow appears and it doesn't. It might come back if I shut down and restart, but I can't be bothered to try that at the moment!

try taking your mouse to all the edges of the screen - I have my bar up the right side of the screen, so it may have moved (just click on it to drag it back to the bottom if you need to).

Hope you find it soon!

I've been to all the edges. I googled the problem and they suggested things like that.

I've restarted it and it has come back, amazing how much I miss the time being in the corner!

Things like that drive me nuts, especially when you don't know what you did to make that happen in the first place. Does anyone else use Google chrome? I used to have a front page which displayed pictures of favourite websites. These have suddenly turned into little url links instead. Any ideas why anyone?

Is that the page headed "Most Visited"? In which case, click on the Most Visited text and the images should come back.

Ah! As easy as that. Excellent, thank you. I know it sounds like a stupid thing to be annoyed about, but it was really driving me mad that I didn't know how to change it. :D

OK this is a question for anyone who suffers from eczema. My eczema seems to be getting worse as I get older and more stressed. The latest horror (and it's happening as we speak) is that I'm getting it round my eyes, and in particular on my eyelids. Clearly, I don't want to be putting hydrocortizone cream anywhere near my eyes. Any suggestions please? It's REALLY sore.

I think someone said that antihistamines help some forms of eczema.

Well, I am wondering if it is an allergy. I have no idea what it's an allergy to, though. Possibly it's an allergy to work.

Check your eyelids. It's a sure sign... I think it's a conspiracy to stop me winking.

Certainly check with the doctor - mine has given me a special moisturising cream which also helps as a preventative, as well as relief. I recently developed eczema in a rather awkward place  (as well as on my hand) and my OH has it occasionally on his face, so we have tried a range of varying strength (steroid) creams between us..... I hadn't realised there were so many!

I have a friend who developed a rash around her eyes after buying new glass. She was allergic to the metal frames.

Now, that's interesting... :? I'll try using different ones and see if that helps. Thanks.

My son has found his own solution to non- allergenic eczema. He has suffered terribly from the really rotten sort- the big red weeping patches kind that is almost psoriasis but not. He takes a multi vitamin on a daily basis and at the first sign of an outcrop takes 3 morning and night.

I had eczema as a child. I still get the allergic kind frequently. Doublebase as a daily cream and eumovate when I get the itchy patches. Both available from a pharmacy counter with no prescription. Don't touch tomato plants, or anything with those kind of leaves without latex gloves. Rubber gloves are a no go and probably make things worse. No solution for a latex allergy though.

I can't wear jewellery that has any metal content. Swatch watches are the only watch I can wear. I used to be able to wear gold but not anymore. Low maintenance is my keyword now.

Right, first to soothe the eyes. Get a stocking and fill the toe with oatmeal and soak this for about 10 minutes in warm water. Then squeeze it gently and hold it on your eye area. This will calm it down. Do this every other night for about a fortnight.

Take a vitamin D capsule daily. This helps the skin dramatically!
