You NEVER know when you might need to write the word poo. It's enormously helpful. Tell you what IS good. I've just discovered the it's got a magnifying thingummybob which is fantastic if you are as blind as a bat (like me). :D You never know, I MIGHT just manage to stop sending people complete nonsense because I can't see what the predictive text is busily making up for me...

Mine takes photos, but I've never worked out how to get them off it and onto anything else.

Well, if it's like mine, you just need to plug a lead into the computer, and then instructions come up on the computer screen. But that does depend, of course, on you having the correct lead after 6 years... Having said that, I haven't tried that on my new phone yet. I'm not that fussed about a photo of my mantelpiece...

I don't think it came with a lead. :? I think I once attached a photo to a text message, sent it to my husband and he was able to print it. I also tend to assume that after 6 years at the bottom of my bag the lens is probably filthy and no good anymore!

You could probably get one from one of those bits and bobs electronics type shops. Basically, if you have a hole in the side of the phone, like a usb port or a little round hole other than where you charge it up, you could probably still do it. It's just so much easier to use your phone to take pictures than to remember to take a camera out with you. Funnily enough, I have one of those electronic photo frames, and periodically a picture of you (and family), Looby and Scurra all sat outside the church in the Cotswolds pops up. That was one I took on my phone. You all look boiling hot.  The other one on the same memory stick which makes me laugh is a picture of Redfraggle and LAT in Hamleys. Redfraggle is to be see pinching a Mummy's* bum...

*As in, a person wrapped in bandages, not one of the customers!

I have an electronic photo frame, but never turn it on as I find the changing pictures really irritating.

I love mine! It makes me smile. :D But then you don't like dancing rabbits on your screen either, do you? (No taste, I'd say)

  I don't think that one made the cut! It really made me laugh a lot though. (LAT sent me a photo of herself in her office because she couldn't be there! )

Now, come on. I thought you might be impressed that I'm getting "down with the kids" at my advanced years. 8-) I'll be street dancing yet...

Yes - what she said ^^^^

Often with cameras and phones you get 'software' to put on your computer - but I don't bother with that. I connect the phone up and select "Transfer" on the phone - then when the computer recognizes it's in place I simply treat it as a 'data stick'. A bit of exploring to see what is where then I can transfer the things I want out to the comoputer.

Street Dancing next weekend Bunny?

Just returned from Holland. Had a great time - food was excellent. As we had to travel by public transport this time - I was amazed at the efficiency and convenience. We travelled from reijswjck to Delft to Eindohoven to Maastricht without having to change platform or wait any period of time. The longest we had to wait was 5 minutes and that was for the first train to arrive. The weathe was good and the food in the Hotel was excellent. We stayed at the Geradushoeve hotel in the hilly region of Holland. It is the Hotel Restruant Geradushoeve .It is a family run hotel and everone was so friendly. My friends are fond of game and asked if it was on the menu - it was not and it was just coming into season - the hotel put on a special meal for us. When we thanked the owner he replied -Those who ask - can be helped.

A saying very apt for our puzzle forum :D

All in all - I had a great time. my only access to the internet was via my mobile phone!

Glad you had such a nice break, Tricia. Sounds fab. :D I am currently at LAT's house and she's cooking my tea. How good is that?

... travelling down from Newcastle and getting NOWHERE with the current issue of puzzles  Not only that but the guy next to me paid no attention to what I was doing (or offered any advice).

I'm typing this from the Internet Cafe in the Trocodero center. Just looked in at Ripley's Believe It or Not...... and didn't believe the price so didn't get any further than the entrance

I DID find a new (to me) ice cream place selling very high quality ice cremes in one of the streets in Soho. Enjoyed that very much. Nice evening wandering the streets of theatre-land and absorbing the atmosphere.

Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow :) Bye for now.
