I may have been easier if I was an illegal alien
Nanu Nanu?

Laura when my friend was late having one of her children I made her eat the hottest chilli ever, drink a pint of beer and go for a walk. That worked. My children were both early (one of them was nearly 2 months early  ) so I don't know that feeling myself, but it must be awful. Poor Li'l Sis!! Fingers crossed that it doesn't go on too long.

Well, 4 days and counting :( If bun is anything to go by, it'll be another week before making an appearance. Harumph!

OOOoh, poor you. You must be getting fed up with the waiting. But it'll be worth it! :(This is lovely, exciting news for a change. It'll cheer me up after a pretty rubbish week. Can't wait to find out what you have. :D :D )

None of mine turned up on time and even after waiting an extra 2 weeks they needed prompting to arrive, so I fully sympathise. At 42 weeks you daren't even go to the supermarket in case something happens!

...Although surely that would warrant lots of free baby stuff from Sainsbury's??

A few shops (Boots, Mothercare, M&S) give you free stuff (nappies/vouchers) if your waters break while you're in there. Spent a good 5 hours traipsing round town on Thursday but alas, nothing.

Its going to be a Christmas baby at this rate.

Ok, I'm going to have a guess. I'll say Sunday night, boy. Will I get a prize if I'm right, I wonder? (Or will Li'l Sis just come and punch me because she can't wait that long?? )

Both of my children were late arriving. I'll join in the guessing. Tuesday 15th, evening and its a girl. Hate to tell you this but my grandson was due 29th April, arrived 14th May and that was after 4 days of induction and nothing happening there either.

....ready to bale out of buying a house.

Solicitor phoned the house I'm, trying to buy has not got it's final building certificate (ours and the one next door), it is 4 years old and been sold once and repossessed (so the last person got a mortgage without the certificate, but how we will never know), so now I have to wait to see if they can find the developer to get the outstanding bill paid before the certificate is issued! Anybody know of a good cardboard box manufactuer where I can get enough to build a house.

and if we are taking bets on babies I say a boy as well on Sunday.

Strep- this is costing you money already. My SIL had problems but she stuck with it-and got the vendor to pay the additional solicitors fees etc. Its a buyers market. Don't forget that. You have the sick to wield- not the BS who is selling it.

Trouble is it's the bank that's selling it and I'm not sure if they will be prepared to pay anything.

Surely without the certificate they won't be able to sell it to anyone.
