Thanks for the hug I needed that.

Well I'm assuming they won't be able to sell it without the certificate, but as they have already sold it and the one next door once I suppose there are some solicitors/banks that are not so hot on these things. That is probably why they didn't pick up the fact that the lease didn't apply to my place either (as it is different from all the others in the block) the one I hope to buy is a coach house on 1 floor above the parking area and the rest are 3 floors, but the lease says parking on ground floor and 1st and second floor house! :x :x
I don't have hot flushes. I have short holidays in the Tropics.

This is all being such hard work isn't it. I really hope it all works out OK, and soon.

Right, I'm taking bets on how much stuff I'm going to forget tomorrow. I have a full day of teaching, followed by exams to accompany, which finish at 5.00, then a concert which starts at 7.00 in a different city. I need to have all the instruments I'm teaching, plus the clarinet I'm playing in the concert but not using for teaching. I need different outfits for the concert than the teaching. I need music. Oh, and food too, as I have no time to come home in between. And I need to remember all of this at 6.30 tomorrow morning when I set off. What do you think my chances are??? :? :? :?

make that list now before you go to bed. Then you just need to tick it all off before you leave the house.

I have the list. I think I have everything packed. I also have exciting news!! Little scuffler arrived last night and she's a girl. That's about all I can tell you at the moment, because I don't think I should be the one to reveal a name, and I forgot to ask about everything else, so I know virtually nothing about the poor little love!!! I shall have to try to get some more info on my little niece later today, inbetween all the other stuff. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Just had a phonecall from my mum, to say that my cousin's wife has died. She went to the Dr with stomach pains who sent her to the hospital , who sent her home. Her appendix burst and she died. Her name was Zoe. I'm feeling a bit stunned. She leaves two children of about 7 and 9. I only met her once, at my great aunt's funeral in July, but she was a lovely girl. She was 35.

That's dreadful Giraffe, and so sad. I imagine the whole family must be in shock. :(

...Getting my laptop back :D Yet another tortuous rigmarole - it almost had to go back to Dell and have me pay £100 for the privilege. I actually can't believe how many problems this laptop has had, considering it wasn't cheap, and was only bought last March from a fairly reliable company (Dell). Anyway, this time my friend had to completely uninstall everything, and then tried to go back using the backup disc. And guess what? The backup disc was corrupted in the same way that the computer was. Anyway, by using a few magic spells and a bit of jiggery pokery he's managed to get it going again. So fingers crossed...

The good news is that my friend fixes the computers, and either D, K, Dibs or I do something for them in return (K and Dibs have helped their kids with things like music coursework, I've helped with university applications or birthday cakes, or D has fixed their boiler if it goes wrong.) It's a good barter system we have going on.
