Here's a connecting wall puzzle using pictures.

Are you going to post answers to this at some point, Cenwulf?

Eventually - assuming that I get some PM replies as to what the connections are.

A few of my previous one-off puzzles don't seem to have produced any responses.

I can't do it!! I was just wondering what the answer would be because it is possible that my friends (who are obviously a lot brighter than me) really enjoyed your connecting walls at new year this year. I was hoping I could solve it so that I could share it with them this new year, but I can't do it.

Giraffe, I would convert it to pdf for you, but I don't seem to be able to do that on this laptop. I think Scurra directed me to some way of downloading it before, but that was on our main computer (which is in use).

This is what I THINK the pictures are of. Do feel free to pile in and correct me, anyone.

Code: Select all

WINNING MOVE IN CHESS??	SOCK	ROOF	COAT

JIMMY WHITE	PIPE	BOW	BOBBY BALL

LARGE HADRON COLLIDER / TUNNEL?	CLOCK FACE	BAG	SOME SORT OF CONTRAPTION, DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS

BED	TOP HAT	BLACK SHOE	KNIFE BLOCK
You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it.

I would hazard a guess that the first one is perhaps "check"?

I have only just looked at this one myself now.

As suggested, here is a PDF version of it.

Never put off till tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.
All of my puzzles are simple and obvious. For certain values of "simple" and "obvious".

Booby Ball could be "Braces"
I think the contraption is a plough.
But I'm not seeing any connections!

Worth mentioning on Bunny's list that the BOW is tied in ribbon or material - as opposed to:

The front of a boat

Someone bending forwards at the waist or neck

A projectile weapon for an arrow.

Don't you just love English?

I don't like to worry you, Scurra, but Giraffe just referred to you as a "kind jester"... :o

I still haven't got anywhere with this. Anyone else? Or did you all give up?
