I can't imagine any 11 year old concentrating for three hours! It seems to work for them. And at the end of the long day 8.30 to 4pm the staff run extra lessons for anyone who is struggling to keep up!

I think I'd be struggling (and quite possibly failing) to stay AWAKE!!

I'm getting a bit fed up with my computer. If I type a message for more than about a couple of minutes when I click submit I get "unable to display webpage". I have to close down IE and start again. And it often takes a few minutes before I can get online again. But all the time the little icon in the bottom right of my screen says I am connected and have a very good signal. Any ideas anyone?

And half the time now I am getting round this by doing ctrl C before I submit so that I don't have to retype the whole message when I do get back on again. It's been doing this for a couple of nights now. :(

My computer updated something after I turned it off last night and now it keeps freezing and I have to turn it off and then it tells me off for not shutting it down properly. It seems to do this every time after it updates, and then afetr a few days sorts itself out again.

LAT, I keep getting that "cannot display webpage" thing as well, it happens all the time, but ONLY on this site.

Someone is trying to tell you something... :)

I have occasionally had times when the site has told me it is unavailable. I think it's when several sites on the same server are accessed at the same time by too many people. (There are probably several hundred websites shared on that machine, so it's not too surprising.)
Never put off till tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.
All of my puzzles are simple and obvious. For certain values of "simple" and "obvious".

Interesting. But do you then also find you can't immediately get into any other sites or are others OK?

Here's an odd one. Eee pc note-pad, book, little thing :?

I tried to do an Alt back-arrow to step to a previous web page - caught another key and...

It turned my screen's image sideways. :o Anyone know what I hit and how to fix it?

Don't know if this is the same thing but found this...
My screen is sideways
Q. I attempted to press CTRL + ALT + DELETE to bring up the task menu but must have inadvertently pressed a different key combination. Now the display on the screen is horizontal (from left to right) rather than vertical (top to bottom).

A. Some video cards support the rotation of the image on your computer screen. You’d use this if you a monitor that can also rotate. Web designers and artists use this, as an example, to check long pages.

It would appear that you managed to press CTRL + ALT + Left Arrow.

To correct this problem simply click CTRL + ALT + Up Arrow.

 Cheers Sis :D That worked.

I thought I'd caught something with my left hand, but there is a CTRL right next to the left arrow key at my right hand - sneaky

Now I'm not likely to get a crick in my neck reading this

I thought it might be that. The irritations aka year 11 boys think it's hysterical to gain entry to one of the computer rooms at school and do this to all the computers before a lesson.

Well they can't steal the balls out of the mice anymore, so all of that advanced computer knowledge has to show itself somewhere

 Wouldn't that be biology? Sounds painful for the poor mice.
