Welcome back Bunny missed you and at least you had better Cornish weather than we got. Did the cake make it there alright :?:

Today I've mostly been looking for knickers size 20-22 for mother's birthday, you would think in these days of grossly obese people you could find more than one shop in this seaside resort that sells them, but NO.
I don't have hot flushes. I have short holidays in the Tropics.

Yes, thanks. The cake made it there ok, sadly there's not much of it left (it got Davided)! He also succeeded in eating the equivalent of 6 portions of home made lasagne all in one day. I think he's stocking up for the spring... Yes, we were very lucky with the weather, uncharacteristically, for us ( our summer holiday last year was spectacularly wet!)

erm, not really. It was Oxford v. Cambridge, so there were lots of very over the top people who thought it was extrememly important that their team win (I believe this is generally the case with many sporting events). It was just lots of men with fancy swords blaming their equipment when they lost a point. To be honest, it was so quick, and I didn't understand what was going on really. And just before the end, one of the blokes with a sword got an 'injury' which can take up to 20 minutes to sort out, so we gave up, and went home to make shepherds' pie. (Where does the apostrophe in shepherd's pie?)

It depends upon how many shepherds are planning on eating it, I imagine.

But it wouldn't need one at all if it was a pie made from shepherds.

That's one of the reasons I hate all sport.

That makes a refreshing change!

Would that not be just "shepherd pie" though? Even if it were made from several shepherds...

I won't let my lad know you take homemade lasagne down to yours as he loves it and I haven't made one in ages, he will be transfering Uni's, but at least if he did that I wouldn't get him back every weekend.

Trouble is I made the big mistake of telling my daughter. She's now all humpy that I haven't made her lasagne too.

Fernando makes a good lasagne, he's not a bad cook, but I need to teach him to be a bit less messy.

I think that's what I meant. Not much hope of keeping him tidy WHILE he cooks.

You should see the kitchen when I cook. It looks like a bomb has hit it. I'm always the same when I work, it's all a big mess but I know where everything is. I then return things to (relative) normality at the end.
