Congratulations, Dibble! (and, of course, Bunny).

I'll keep out of the debate about age & experience....

My daughter's boyfriend has just proposed to her. She has accepted! :D

He's such a romantic. He took her for a surprise trip to Paris, and proposed on Valentine's Day. :D He's designed a ring for her and got his brother (a goldsmith) to make it - it's lovely, white gold in an intricate v shape design, set with diamonds.

He's a lovely lad, who would do anything for her, exactly what any mother would want for her daughter. I am delighted. :D :D

This is turning into quite a week in the Bunny household, isn't it? Am I hogging this thread too much??

Whee! Congratulations, Bunny! That's great news.

So, as mother of the bride will you be organising the big day? (although I dread to think what you'd come up with!)

AFM we've finally had an offer of compensation after Sigur's car accident 18 months ago, so we may be able to get a kitchen!

That's great news, Eirian. You've waited a long time for that after the last fiasco!! And the wedding is up to my daughter - it's her day so she chooses. Mind you...we just had a quick look at some local venues and at £220 PER HEAD I can't see that being an option... This, bear in mind, is just for the venue, ceremony, meal and disco. It doesn't include flowers, cars, invitations, photographs, dresses, suit hire.

Think I might have to start selling body parts.

Bunny, good news on all fronts. :D I've been rather busy ( don't like this work thing!) so I missed Dibbles achievement. Well done Dibble! And as for K , I've met her OH and I think she's found herself a good one. :D .

How many MOTB outfits will you be buying before it actually happens

Eirian, reject the first offer!!! There will be a better one. I worked for a PI solicitor. Just tell him/her that you were expecting more and can s/he get a better offer. They may already have done that on your behalf already of course. We gor an extra £500 by rejecting the first offer we got on a car that OH was totally to blame for writing off!!!

Well I don't think you're Father of the Bride...

Ah...

I hate shopping and I hate trying clothes on, so it will be a one stop shop and that'll be it. People won't be looking at ME.

Dont you believe that for a minute! The bridesmaids can look like sacks of coal but MOTB is always the second to be eyeballed :D
