Got mine today thanks! :D
It was in one of those packets from the Post Office saying "sorry this has arrived like this", because the original envelope had got torn.
But it is intact, and looks great. Well done, you must be very proud of your achievement. :D

I am enjoying remembering all the playground songs I sang and games I played when I was younger. :D

Oh I am so glad you received it. It's in the newspapers today but you have to subscribe to see it online

People are coming in from all over Northern Ireland to get the wee book - it's really good.

My OH bought me a new laptop tonight as a treat for my hard work. :D

I watched the DVD yesterday and have to say it was fantastic. Really enjoyed it and it brought many happy memories of the games we played.

One of them was Best Faller - we all had to run dorward and someone would pretend to shoot as cowboys did and we would all fall over in a spectacular fashion

Another one played with a long ope and 2 people "cawing" we would sing

In goes the doctor(one person jumps into the turning rope)
In goes the Nurse(second person jumps in - so there are 2 people Jumping)
in goes the lady with the alligator purse(in jumps a third person
Out goes the Doctor - the doctor jumps out leaving 2
Out goes the nurse - the nurse leaves
And out jumps the lady with the alligator purse

....then it all starts again

Thanks Judith for letting us share that

Tricia :D

I don't know of you know this one but I was taught this at school. It may have been because we are a shipbuiling town.

Oh they built the ship Titanic
To sail the ocean blue
And they thought they had a ship that the water would never go through
But the lords almighty hand
saw that ship would never land
It was sad when that greAT sHIP WENT DOWN

It was sad
It was sad
it was sad when that great ship went down

I hope someone else caN FILL IN THE DETAILS

I sang this at the age of 7,8,9,10 and I am 57 years old! I would love to remember the next verse
