Thank you everyone. :D I have had a nice day. Even though we wanted to go to the David Hockney exhibition and couldn't (the queue was for at least 2 hours and I have a bad knee and a bad back so couldn't do it). Still, we made the most of our day and went to the National Gallery, then for lunch with my son and my sister in law (who also works at UCL), then for a tour of the uni and to the Grant museum. Since then I've had my daughter round. Tomorrow it's friends coming for cakes and then out for a meal, Sunday to my niece's. So good weekend all round to look forward to.

Well, I suppose I ought to wish Wulfruna a Hippo Birdy for St Paddy's Day...

(gosh, that sounds so grudging, doesn't it?!)

Yes it does. Sort yourself out and send your mother a bunch of flowers immediately.

Many happy returns of the day, Wulfruna. I hope you have a great day. :D

. Ah well, he may not have sent a birthday card (well there'd be a first time for everything :o ) nor flowers (not wanted, due to being highly overpriced on Mothering Sunday weekend  ) but I have received the best (and appropriate) virtual birthday present - renewing my very own web domain at http://www.sheilabrain.com. Thank you to my very own jester.....
And thank you to Thomas for my beautiful birthday card with his latest photo and lots of lovely Xs all over it in his own handwriting

We're off out this afternoon to my annual birthday treat - a visit to the local Garden Centre to stock up on seeds and plants and lots of compost and growbags. What more could a girl want? (Don't answer that, Bunny  )
