Great news - check with the whole family for any computer questions you want to bring along.

That would be brilliant

I'm sure she and I would get on great (and she could tell me all your secrets - LOL)
Sorry to miss you Tricia, but Rome would win for me as well

I'd suggest you all put a light waterproof in your bags and enclosed footwear that is easy to clean. As Clvrlad said, the weather forecast is showers as opposed to rain for the next few days. Showers in With. tend to be of the kind where its a downpour for a few minutes which is liable to catch you out. The grass is likely to be soggy on site because we had torrential rain last weekend and it wont have had a chance to dry out.
Drivers: You are allowed to park right in front of caravans but if the ground is wet I'd suggest bays or at least one half of your car on the road without causing an obstruction. My wheels were spinning last weekend and I thought it was going to be the tractor job to pull me onto the road. The roads on site are not private either so all speed limits etc apply.

Well in pocklington
In a pub thinking about food
And avoiding the rain
Dont have too far to go today 10 miles or so (about 4 hours) so thinking ill be here for an hour or so have some hot food then hopefully set off with out the rain

You mention getting petrol at the Shell garages as being cheap - do the supermarkets also have petrol? They are often good value too.
I already had waterproof on my list of clothes to bring - I've looked at the weather forecast!

Sorry! I can't function without lists.
When the children were younger we often went to France for our holiday and stayed on caravan sites so I developed a list of things to remember to take. And since then I have used a pared down version for business trips as it saves me spending time wondering if I have forgotten anything.
We used to keep all 4 waterproofs rolled up in a plastic carrier bag ready to put into the car when relevant for holidays or even days out. In fact I think there are still 4 in the bag but I doubt the childrens' ones would fit them any more.

There is only one petrol station in Withernsea (Total) and its expensive. Definitely go to the Shell garage on the A63 if you need to fill up.
As for lists, I have 3. One for the non perishables I've just been and got, one for fresh items I need to get on Friday morning and one for anything else that might rear its head that I can get when I do the drinks run on Friday evening:lol:

Well, this is the north of England, so we wouldn't have expected tropical weather. We've had torrential downpours all day here.
And LIST?? What is this word list?? I haven't thought about it at all. Janet is already badgering me about details of what's happening 3 weekends away - I told her to go away because I haven't got my head round this weekend yet...

Oh dear clvrlad! That sounds a bit miserable for you!
Hope tomorrow is better.
And Bunny - that's why you're a spontaneous fun sort of person and I'm a boring old fart.

For spontaneous and fun read "total nightmare - hopelessly unprepared" and for "boring" read organised and prepared. Then I might agree with you.

I've just remembered Gill's rearranging of family relationships.
Looks like my mother-in-law is coming on holiday with me to Withersea.
I shall have to try not to be too much of a nag!

We need a family tree

If you are MBH's twin sister then that makes you my sister too. If Giraffe is Lat's mother in law then we've both got our mum coming to stay
Edit: As i became Fraggles mum as OH gave her away as father of the bride I reckon that makes Giraffe a great grandmother!
