Yeah, most of my friends are my age and older and they use it. I plan to target the people I know could tackle these puzzles - and who more importantly - would enjoy trying :D

OK so how about some suggestions for a suitable puzzle. Like you say, I think we need a fairly accessible one.

My personal favourites are the alphactors or the wordsearches with a twist. The picture one with the phoenix alphabet pictures was a good one too!

I think Supersleuth has made a very good point about the type of people we might attract, although my guess is all sorts in fact. I know that my sister uses Facebook and she is really old - 10 years older than I am! But she mainly uses it to look after her farm there. I know she converses with other 'farmers' all over the world. Whether people like her would be attracted to PB I don't know.
I guess we won't know until we try and hopefully we can tell the sheep from the wolves before we admit them to the forum here. And if it gets a few more people being perplexed by these puzzles it surely must be a good thing.

There will always be the 'core' group but really if a cross dressing punk rocker enjoys these puzzles then who are we to object? (Please note people of these persuasions dont offend me in the least) Their interest will simply be the puzzles.

Well, speaking as a cross dressing punk rocker, I'm very pleased to hear that.

Quite a few people say they like map puzzles too. Although we haven't had one of those for a while.

Rock on Bunnylump! Yes, the map puzzles are brilliant too - if we had a theme of where a 'detective' should go to next then the solution could be found on the map!

If people are causing a problem, bad language, posting spoilers or ruining it for others, presumably they will receive a warning and then be banned if they persist. We are a pretty diverse bunch, age and interest wise I have no objection to new blood on here.

Yep, and I'll block them from FB or delete their posts. On the Belfast Streetgames site - I've only had to delete about 6 posts in total and the reponse is huge. I can set it so that posts have to be approved - so I know exactly what's going to be said.

Oh yes Bunny I forgot about that - and I have a pair of rollerboots so that makes me retro-cool!

Actually, my ex next door neighbour (who was a police inspector) kept fit by rollerblading in the park. I'd forgotten all about that.

I really liked Lord Mayor this time round. But I suppose if it was one of those wordsearch type ones at least they would be familiar for people to know how to start. There was that Mirror Mirror one recently.

You see those type seem straightforward until you start them - then you realise there's much more to them. My Leah was totally engrossed in one of them - and she wanted more of them. She now checks to see if there's any she could tackle

Must be one with lots of stages to it. You do something and then just when you think you are getting a message it tells you to do it all again but backwards or something like that. I'm a goldfish brain, so can't remember the puzzles.

Or one with a real AHA moment.

In the current Issue Mirror Mirror or Box of fruit might work.

Yes I agree Lord mayor was a really good puzzle and would draw people in, but it is far from typical as it tells you what to do.

Well I couldn't possibly comment on one of those... But yes, I agree.
