I resemble that remark.

Happy new year everyone!
I've not made a great start. Went out walking with 12 friends in the countryside. Not only did the pub half way round stop serving food HALF WAY though our orders but two of us succeeded in falling over, Nick down a slippery piece of wood and me in a load of mud - quite spectacularly - off the footpath, down a slope and under an upturned tree root... Still, we're all in one piece...

My New Year got off to a bad start. I put my back out. I couldn't stand as it affected my legs and I ended up having to go to hospital. Got some pills and given about 5 days I should recover.

I hope the rest of you got off to a better start and have a happy and prosperous New Year.

Happy New Year all.

My New Years Eve was spent behind the bar at the Cricket Club. There was a 'bring your own' buffet that I raided for food, and brought in the new year with the smallish gang there. Not really in a part mood I'm afraid, so I'm hoping this year is better for all of us.

Oh dear, Kathlyn, hope you recover quickly! And MBH, here's hoping this is a better year for you.

This year seems to be having a bit of a faltering start for us -I've just got all the washing done from my mud catastrophe yesterday and then today we had to get a new battery for D's car (other one couldn't even be jump started). Now he's just (well after 9pm) had a call-out. What next?
