That's certainly one way of passing the time...

Much less stressful than puzzle-solving. :D

Well obviously! :(
But knitting is wonderfully relaxing. No-one could call puzzle-solving relaxing!

Didn't like the disembodied heads! But good use of odd bits of left over wool.

I thought the swimming one was one of the best. (Although the person in the end lane seemed to have too many limbs floating around!)

To be honest, I do think this is cleverly done. Not convinced it's a very wise move for Nick Clegg to authorise (well, I know he didn't actually authorise it, but agreed it could be left there if they made a donation to charity) but I suppose his popularity can't get much worse...

What was he going to do? Say "no" and have people say "well he's a killjoy with no sense of humour"? Politicians can't win in this sort of situation. At least they (apparently) asked him... I tend to think it will work out just fine for him.

(Personally I think it better demonstrates the true horror of Autotune rather well. I find it really hard to listen to a lot of modern "chart" music because the Autotune effect is just so unpleasant. If you can't sing, then you should leave it to people who can rather than trying to disguise it.)

Yes, I agree autotune is a horrific invention, but you must admit that this is quite well done as a joke.

Not a game or even remotely trivial, but this is really excellent.
It's a website about the Cuban Missile Crisis (50 years ago this month) with lots of archive footage and documents.
It even manages to be fairly balanced, given that it has been produced by the JFK Foundation!

One for the more mathematically inclined I think. (No, Bunny, I think you should stay away from this!)

Escape from the Room with 10 Safes

Use the numbers you get from each safe on the pedestal by the door to open the next safe...

I enjoyed that. Although it took longer to work out what I was supposed to be doing than to do it.

If you click on the "More Puzzles" link there are lots more. I've wasted quite an impressive amount of time on these...

Don't hate you - love you. Enforced day off cos the school I should be teaching at is closed, and I was bored by 9.04 am! This is keeping me sane.

Wow, that's amazing! Just been looking at UCL (where Dibble is) - I can now see why he calls one bit the "Cruciform". Do you think it's deliberately blurred when you go to the maximum zoom to protect people from view? Otherwise you could look straight in their windows!!
