Re: MUMS/Cisra 2013
email received today:
The year is 2013 AD. Terra Australis is entirely occupied by the
Romans. Well, not entirely... one small village of indomitable
academics still holds out against the invaders.
How do the academics stave off the Roman invaders? Where lies the
secret to their extraordinary powers? Can you find the weapon before
the Romans get their hands on it? By Toutatis! Sounds like another
puzzle hunt is brewing.
You are cordially invited to enter the Melbourne University Puzzle
Hunt 2013, which is only two weeks (and a couple of days) away. Entry
is now open and completely free. The entire Hunt (except for locating
the final hidden object) will take place online from the 13th to the
17th of May.

Re: MUMS/Cisra 2013
Has anyone registered us as a team?
This is the second of two invitation emails, and also a reminder that
the Melbourne University Puzzle Hunt is less than a week away!
The first set of puzzles will be released on Monday (13th May) at
12.00pm, with the first prize of course being $300 to the first team
to uncover the hidden item.
If you haven't registered a team already, get in quick before someone
steals your team name and/or members!
Google 'puzzle hunt' for details, registration, and puzzles from the
last 9 years, or visit http://puzzlehunt.mums.org.au
Best regards,
Puzzle Hunt 2013 Team

Re: MUMS/Cisra 2013
I would if I could remember the password we usually use! I can remember the google docs password. Any offers PM me.
Re: MUMS/Cisra 2013
Can someone remind me of the password for google docs please?
And perhaps we should shout here if we are planning to join in, so that if Gill has to use a new password for the team registration she knows who to send it to.

Re: MUMS/Cisra 2013
I will try to look but have a horrific week at work next week so probably won't be much help. Not that I'm usually much help anyway!!
I can't remember the google docs passwords and things either. Brain dead? Yes.

Re: MUMS/Cisra 2013
Thanks Maisie and giraffe. As you both gave me the same password it must be right.
If not I've used what you told me anyway. Go do your stuff and add to the team members. This time I've just used puzzlebrains as the team name. David wondered if last years hack was anything to do with having used our site address as a team name so I decided not to chance it.
All interested peoples show your hands here. (Unless you've already done so of course!)

Re: MUMS/Cisra 2013
I've added myself to the team.
Re: MUMS/Cisra 2013
I'm up for it - although will find little time in first half of next week - but looking to join in proper at end of the week!
Re: MUMS/Cisra 2013
I've added myself. (with a little help from a passing ladybird)
Re: MUMS/Cisra 2013
I'm hoping to be helpful, but my nephew Roo (lilsis and Gmaal's little boy) has to have a scarily serious operation to re-shape his skull the following week so things are pretty chaotic and stressful at the moment. If I get chance I'll do what I can!

Re: MUMS/Cisra 2013
My usual offer stands - if I can see the puzzle and if I have a thought I'll let you know. No idea how GoogleDocs is going to behave on my bus (the sesion on Monday afternoon has had few visitors, which is good for this - but the 3G connection is lousy which is bad

Re: MUMS/Cisra 2013
Gill's kindly sent me the passwords again, but I assume some kind soul will remind us nearer the time how the heck you GET on Google Docs please?
I seem to have a link which will let me in to settings, but don't know how to get onto the actual sheets.

Re: MUMS/Cisra 2013
I can never remember the googledocs website so I look it up on Google every time (LOL), but then the email and password should be familiar enought to you, especially when the password relates to puzzles that I never really got hold of

Re: MUMS/Cisra 2013
As usual, if anyone spots one I may be able to do (ie, japanese logic style), just PM me and I'll have a look. I will try to look at them myself, but it just depends on how much work I get/how awake I am.
Re: MUMS/Cisra 2013
Ditto here, if there is anything anyone thinks I might be able to help with send me a PM but I probably won't have much time to spend on attempting all of them over the next week (depends on a few things!
)
