The only way I cold get it to work was to delete my history and cookies and things. I have no idea why that should make a difference, but it sometimes seems to. Whichever way I put it in I was just getting the save button.

curiously I had no problems with this at home. I thought I'd have a sneaky look at it at work and only got the 'save' button.
I've tried deleting lots, but it's still only giving me that.
Could it be because I use Firefox at home, but IE here at work?

Either that or it's a subtle blocking by our IT Dept! (It's usually much more obvious - a big screen saying MCC won't let you visit this site)

I'm getting the same white screen with the SAVE button that does nothing, but I DID spot the comment "Done with error on page" so I think the filtering system from Sunderland CC is throwing it out.

I think Eirian could be right with her IE vs Firefox theory as I use IE.

Well it worked for me with IE, but not every time.

I've just tried IE and it came up ok, but that may be because I've got an updated version of IE for Windows 8. It could be that it is the earlier IE that isn't registering it properly. Pity, because it is an intriguing game once you get into it. On the other hand - no big deal as it is a dreadful time-waster.....
Tip for those who have found it - make sure you leave your browser open and ticking over all the time, as the candies will continue to accumulate whilst you are doing other (more important!) things - and you find when you get back that there is a lot more you can do :D . Don't forget to save the new score when you go back (which was my mistake - I lost a whole of stuff gained since the last save when I shut down by mistake).

I've now been playing the candy box game for two days. If you go into the FAQ section, there's a link for if you've saved and can't find the other link. You copy and paste and then replace the xxxxx with your save code. If you bookmark it after that, it just automatically reloads from the last place you saved every time.

I'm absolutely hooked and getting very little else done. :geek:

It wouldn't even load from that when it was playing up for me. I got fed up with it. It seemed a bit pointless after a while.

Not anything in particular but rather clever nevertheless.

It's a photograph that was done for an album cover. Click on it to see that it's actually a single picture, not modified or anything.

That link took me straight into the photo - and I thought that as a picture it was interesting. I didn't realize the significance of your comment until I saw the thumbnail picture in the 'Advertising' section. VERY clever concept :)

I got stuck. Couldn't get the person asleep on the roof to do anything or use the feather for anything.

Did you try using the "super grow" on the tree next to the person who is asleep?
Or you could just annoy him by ringing the doorbell a lot...

It's not on the Google home page any more, but in case anyone missed the chance to try, it can be found here: http://www.google.com/doodles/roswells-66th-anniversary

The Google doodle today is rather nice. It's an animated playing of one of my all time favourite pieces of music. :D

This one is clever and original: recognise shapes and other things from sounds alone.

That is really good, I'm stuck now at 37...

It's weird at first, and baffling but surprising how you can make sense of it in the end. I don't think some of the "word" answers are completely fair though.

...Got there in the end. But there was one particular "word" one which, I agree, was just flipping stupid. The rest was cool though.

This sounds intriguing but I haven't had a chance to try it yet. Since I do most of my puzzling in the evening while also watching TV, attempting a puzzle with sounds is not really an option. I just need to remember to try it sometime when no-one else is around!
