very good point Sparkout. My mother did far too much sorting in the last few years of my life so that there wasn't much from my childhood left when she died. :(

And.

Leave them all that stuff. And everything else you can collect between now and then. Isn't that what memories are? Things that you remember, and things that remind you (them), regardless of whether you remember the actual item or not.
Well, that was what I used to think. But now I realise it's the people who are the important bits, and the rest is just...stuff. It's nearly three years since Mum died and I still miss her as terribly as the day I sat with her as she died. But I have lots of wonderful memories of her. She was such a "big" character, that's why she's left such a terribly big "hole". The nice thing is how many random "strangers" still come up to me in the street and ask "Hey, aren't you Mrs. C's daughter? Your mum taught me, and she inspired me to..." And when you think, she retired in 1990!! Mind you, I happen to know that because I currently have my feet on a "sawn off" worn old lab stool which has the following inscription on it:

"Presented to E.C on her retirement from the science department, July 1990." And underneath it says "MATURED BY THE SEATS OF LEARNING."
You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it.

CISRA 2013
9 May 2013

Puzzle Week dates for the 2013 competition have been finalised! Puzzle Week begins on Monday 29 July, and the competition ends on Monday 5 August. We are still confirming prizes and any possible changes to the competition terms and conditions for this year, as well as the traditional early release date for the Group 1 puzzles. Registration of teams will open once these have all been finalised.

(I'm on holiday so will miss the whole thing, even if I can log in I will have no access to a printer.)

Do we have a team registered for this?

When Gill has done that, I'll sort out the closed forum as well. Shout if you think you ought to be in there.
Never put off till tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.
All of my puzzles are simple and obvious. For certain values of "simple" and "obvious".

We have now.

Team name is simply puzzlebrains.
The password is the 6 letter usual one. My net is intermittent to the point of often non existant. Who is around to be keeper of the password for those who have forgotten?

First set of puzzles are released on Monday 22nd.

Can someone else register as team members please.

Do you want me to add myself even though I will be extremely intermittently around after Wednesday? it would be better to have people who are here.

I've got some old cisra pdfs on the computer on the bus. I was catching a potential puzzlers interest with the Kids Placemat one from some years ago. Meeting a few people it would be interesting to get on boards with the mag.
