Re: Today I've mostly bin...
I went to a convention in Vienna a few years ago and made the mistake of not adding on some extra days thinking I'd go back. Not done so yet , but I did manage to escape one morning for a bit of sight-seeing. In fact only at the weekend I was looking through the photos that I took (been doing lots of sorting through old photos recently)
Hope you have a good time Wulfruna.

.....decorating again at Mum's. Lots of painting today, so should be ready to start hanging wallpaper next time.
I hope you have a good trip Wulfruna.

Re: Today I've mostly bin...
...Running around the school field with a load of year 7s for their team building day. It always amazes me ho quickly you can spot the ones who are natural "leaders", even at the age of 12. Also you quickly spot the lateral thinkers (the ones who suss out the sensible way to try to lift the bottle of water out of the centre of a circle using rope only without dropping it etc.) Of course you also quickly realise which ones are the total pains in the ar*e and the whingy ones who don't want to take part...

Re: Today I've mostly bin...
.... not very much at all. But I did go up to London for it. Swam a bit, sat in the steam room - listening to what sounded like a hippo who was trying to escape - sat in the sauna, sat in a jacuzzi and had a massage, facial and manicure. Then I had a bit to eat and came home. Lovely day - thanks to a very good friend.
I did feel as I walked over Westminster Bridge that I was the only person not taking photos.

Did exactly the same Although I think it may have been a pig not a hippo
Have managed not to chip my manicure yet - usually ruin at least one nail before even leaving the salon

Remember you are talking about me!
Very relaxed yes, even if slightly worried about the hippo-pig, but I don't think you could call me glamorous.

(me again!)
........ driving down to Cornwall and then walking along the beach at Watergate Bay watching the surfers. Many of whom seemed to be older than me!
We stopped off at Barrington Court on the way for a quick lunch and a short wander to stretch our legs before getting back in the car. We decided we must go back for a proper visit as the gardens were lovely and we didn't even venture into the house.

Re: Today I've mostly bin...
Hope you have a lovely break, LAT, and that the sunshine continues for you!
We HAD planned to go for a walk together today, until OH got a call from the DOE (or whatever it's called these days) saying they have water pouring down the walls... I still managed a bit of a run up Ivinghoe Beacon and back on my own before visiting K's boyfriend's mum's for birthday cake. Well, I'm allowed cake after that, aren't I??
You do get a really good view from up there, that is, if you can avoid all the kite flyers and radio controlled aeroplanes swooping about!!

Re: Today I've mostly bin...
I have an idea for a new puzzle it is called Wedding table planning
all you have to do is keep the religions apart add and take away plus ones, and redo it every few days to get a different answer when one side of the family upsets the other. I have just completed this for the third time and I have an answer it is CHAOS.
Please Bunny and Scurra if you come up with a different answer to this puzzle let me know.

I don't have hot flushes. I have short holidays in the Tropics.

Re: Today I've mostly bin...
You have my sympathy strep!
It was bad enough doing a plan for a celebratory birthday lunch with only about 35 people initially. Then 3 or 4 dropped out at the last minute, all originally on the same table (most of the oldies!) so we had to do some rapid rearranging and let the hotel know as we had all pre-chosen our food.
Hope it all goes well in the end!

......hanging wallpaper and making cakes. (Not simultaneously). I baked 3 rolls of wallpaper and hung two fruit cakes. Or maybe it was the other way round.

Are you "nesting" Giraffe? Sounds like you might imminently give birth to me. (isn't that the ONLY time that sensible people start manically baking and wallpapering?)

I had to read that sentence three times before I realised that you didn't actually mean what I thought you wrote...Bunnylump wrote:Sounds like you might imminently give birth to me.
Never put off till tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.
All of my puzzles are simple and obvious. For certain values of "simple" and "obvious".

Re: Today I've mostly bin...
Still working on decorating Mum's lounge, but at one day a week and with a 100 mile drive it is both exhausting and dragging on. She can now get both radiators rehung, just in case the weather turns cold. And the cakes are for a Macmillan coffee morning on Thursday. I wouldn't otherwise have tried to multitask.
