...Wondering whatever possessed me to agree to hosting a "craft afternoon" in my living room this Saturday, to make all the things for K's wedding. It didn't sound like too bad an idea when she first suggested it - we have glass painting to do, invitations to make, hundreds of feet of bunting to cut and sew, some massive table plan in a hanging frame to make... However, last count we are up to six people turning up, and I can see that increasing as the word spreads. As I live in a shoebox,this could be quite cramped...

I'm thinking of eloping myself... And yeah, we might as well invite the lot of you. We could have LAT knitting canapés, the Giraffes papier mache-ing buttonholes, and Scurra could make us a nice crossword puzzle cake. Anyone else?

......phoning insurance companies and waiting on tenterhooks for F to get back from his driving test. The roads are no longer safe, and after a bit of searching I have managed to persuade the existing insurance company that they can insure him for £232 less than they originally said.


So we can just about afford it, as we don't have to pay for more lessons and another test!
