Re: Today I've mostly bin...
Looking at issue 3 of Puzzle Brains! Gill's cyber threat against my postman worked and he delivered my copy today!
She is so amazing, I would love her to come deal with some of my other issues, like the internet provider who keeps changing my email address without telling me, my boss who understood "I'm bored" and gave me more work, and the idiot down at the grocery store who put the eggs on top of the loaf of bread! (No, I'm not whining...I'm just wishing I had a bit of the Gill in me )

Re: Today I've mostly bin...
wondering what my 22 month old daughter knows that I don't. Just doing some housework and thought 'she's quiet', went to see what she was doing and she was sitting in the chair with my copy of PB on her lap reading it to herself in babybabble language......it was upsidedown! Perhaps I should try this.
Re: Today I've mostly bin...
She probably does...My daughter pointed to a picture I was strugling over and said mom that's....and she was right I grounded her from TV for a week. She shouldn't have known that answer. So I know she has figured out how to use the remote and watch "the big people's channel"
Re: Today I've mostly bin...
all ways worry what the kids are doing when it goes quiet
after all when you can hear them you know what they are doing and where they are
at least she wasn't tearing it up or maybe that would have been ok

Re: Today I've mostly bin...
That thought did cross my mind LAT, I promise if it happens again, I will. But like Kathlyn said, I was lucky she wasn't tearing it up (which is what she usually does to magazines, books, newspapers, even her favourite Fifi and the Flowertots book!) so it's out of her way at the moment.

Re: Today I've mostly bin...
Well... since I might get to know about that subject in the not-too-distant future, it may yet crop up

Re: Today I've mostly bin...
I have been wondering whether to adapt some of the puzzles to teach my 9 year old proverbs and things like that. And possibly even music theory for her and Fernando.
Re: Today I've mostly bin...
music theory?
Re: Today I've mostly bin...
Or you could just make them do it the boring way like I had to!

Is that as a result of what you are reading?!

No I'm on the Blood detective now and it isn't prostitutes I want to kill, its vets (who think my son and girlfirend who have £80 a week coming in between them, can pay a rising bill, now up to £370 for an injured kitten), sister in law (who signed the consent form for the treatment, without thinking how they could start to pay for it) and the administrators of the national database that I have been feeding with data for eighteen months (part of my job), as they have suspended the database, with the possible loss of all this work, which I will have to start all over again. Not a good day, but saying that I have just completed another puzzle.

Well done on the puzzle, but you sound as if you need a hot bath and a stiff drink / cup of tea and chocolate to recover from the rest.

Oh, poor you, Strep! What a pooey day / week. I bet you could cheerfully wring several necks. Hope things get sorted.

Re: Today I've mostly bin...
I too am seething!
my stupid school decided it would be a good idea to give my mobile number to one of the parents (obviously, the most awkward one), because it was my day off, and they obviously think I should be on-call 24/7 to answer stupid questions that could have been left until I was back in school. So now this woman has my mobile number, and no doubt she'll feel free to ring at any opportunity, and also pass it on to other parents. Needless to say, the school office will not be having a cheery greeting from me tomorrow morning.

That's TERRIBLE! They must be covered by the data protection act. You should make them pay for you to have a new number! I would.
