Sounds like Christmas

#1 Post by Looby » Thu Dec 19, 2013 1:17 pm

A quiz for you to try over Christmas.

I haven't done #10, 29 or 37 but have answers for the rest of them. I think that you'll know when you have them right and they'll be accompanied by a groan!

Except for the groaning when she gets each answer!

Particular favourite so far is number 35 (I had a sneak preview yesterday over a four-hour lunch!)

We have had a go at this today and have got most.of them. I think I have no 10, but not the other two you are missing.
I'm struggling with the first two parts of 9 , 23, 24 , 26, 29, 37, and we can't see what 36 has to do with Christmas, so may have it wrong.

Blimey, Giraffe, you've done loads more than we can. We are stuck on
4, 9, 13, 16 (although I think it might be FEZ ANT something!) 20, 21, 26, 29, 34, 35, 37, 38

I think 23 might bePROSE ECHO (Prosecco) and
24 is PLUMP HOOD DING

I now have all but #37.

I think that 36 is to do with Christmas in that all alcohol is appropriate then!

I agree with all you blacked out Bunnylump

That is probably better, but as I don't drink I was unlikely to get it!

We got #37 (BALL/LOONS) but are stuck on 4, 26 and 29.

I'm also not happy with my answer for the last part of 10.

edit: Now happy with it.

Just missing 29 now

I would quite like the beginning to be PROFIT (prophet) and the only 3 letter herbs I can find are BAY or RUE. Proceeds could also mean go forward. Chap I am assuming is Man rather than cowboy leg things or sore lips / hands although that might make the end SORE BAY / SORBET
