Well, here's hoping. In particular, I hope the weather behaves itself!!

Ever felt like you might be having one of THOSE days?

Woke up at 4am. Couldn't get back to sleep. :(
Went back to work after a week off. :|
9am, science teacher has year 7s traipsing around the school field armed with quadrats. For "school field" read "quagmire." So by 9 15 I was completely plastered in mud with wet shoes.
10am Have lots of urgent e mails to answer and work computer says "no" ("if this security scan takes longer than 3 minutes, the computer will self destruct" type of message)
10 45 am lovely IT men (who I regularly bribe, and therefore get prompt service) have computer going again.
11am printer dies.
1 20 I realise I left my lunch at home in the fridge.
2 20 I discover, completely by accident, that they've changed some of the school timetable without telling me. Staff all over the shop and chaos ensues.
5 15 still trying to resolve chaos.
5 30 finally leave work, car making strange noise. Flat tyre.
5 45 Not a hope in hell of loosening wheel nuts, so call husband.
6pm Husband arrives to change wheel.
6 01 Heavens open and we both get soaked through.

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!

Someone PLEASE cheer me up!!

What brilliant news! CONGRATULATIONS indeed, and how clever of a Clvrlad to beat St Valentine to it
And you know by now that you can go straight to a Bunny for first-hand advice on what -and what NOT - to do in preparation. On the other hand..... you're just the poor groom and not the bride's mother

What happy news - and a lovely picture :D

We've been today to the funeral of an elderly aunt of my husband (90 years old) - a lovely christian lady much loved by all who knew her, so the church in Reigate was absolutely packed out. It was a very moving celebration. In the course of paying tribute to her life, an unexpected secret was revealed. It was known that she served in the WRENS in the war, but due to the official secrets act she never revealed to anyone just where and what - until released from that vow through recent publication of the history of Bletchley Park! It turns out she actually worked on those code-breaking machines  Her family had put on display the official letter of recognition sent out to all those involved in that team only in 2010 (signed by David Cameron) togeher with the little medal that was awarded. What an interresting discovery......
