To be honest, I don't LIKE digital cameras. I'd much rather use one with film in it and get it developed into pictures at Boots.

Re: Today I've mostly bin...
On mine it's the one you charge it up with. You just plug it into the computer instead. But there's a horribly confusing bit where you have to make it look like a storage device first before the computer can recognise it. And you know how useless I am with technology!!
EVERY time, without fail, that I put my photos onto the computer, I have the same scenario where I swear and curse until D takes pity on me and tells me what I have forgotten to do. Again.

There isn't a hole in the phone for the cable though. There are only the headphone hole and the charger hole. My camera has a slot for the cable.

It's the charger hole on mine. But I don't know what it would be on yours. Mine has a cable which plugs into a plug. You take it out of that and then stick it into the computer instead.
You should probably ask your children. They could probably work it out!!

Try googling the make/model of phone plus downloading photos - I'm sure you would find something to tell you how to do it.

...solving puzzles (albeit rather slowly
) whilst walking about London with the Bunny and Paulman... Although oddly I don't actually have any photographs to prove it.
Never put off till tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.
All of my puzzles are simple and obvious. For certain values of "simple" and "obvious".

Re: Today I've mostly bin...
The DASH hunt was fun (in a tortuous sort of a way) although we didn't actually get to the final puzzles. But given that there were TEN to solve in 8 hours PLUS finding our way round to different places in London, and then had to find places where we could feasibly deal with bits of paper to cut up and stick together without them blowing away, or where we could avoid being shat upon by pigeons, that was quite a challenge in itself!
I dragged my reluctant husband along with me and for part of the day my moderately enthusiastic (but completely inexperienced) son. I don't think any of the three of us actually contributed much to the puzzle solving aspect though.
It was nice to catch up with Scurra and Paulman (despite us probably actually being a hindrance rather than a help to puzzle solving.) However, the travel proved to be quite exceptionally unpleasant, involving cancelled trains, then being jammed like sardines into the only train available back home, including having to battle our way to one of the front carriages to actually be able to get back off.

Hmm, doesn't sound like a very relaxing way to spend a Saturday!
I was also in London but my day was far more civilised as I met up with 4 old school friends, a couple of whom I haven't seen for getting on for 20 years.

My trip back wasn't stellar either, although it wasn't that bad.

Oh, and they also gave me a flyer (which I won't post as a scan again because it's another big one.) But just in case anyone's interested...

I've been stuffing a giraffe this evening
At the moment he's legless - well he has legs but they aren't attached. Mrs giraffe is looking forward to having a partner I think.

Why are you stuffing a giraffe?
Re: Today I've mostly bin...
Thought that might grab your attention!
Noah wants a pair of them to go with the other animals on his ark.
Here is Mrs Giraffe, she hasn't got a face yet though.

Lally is knitting these, as Christmas presents for her friends. (Started early as she is a bit of a novice knitter and I had to teach her how to purl, increase, decrease etc. )

They're very sweet.
So far my favourites among those I have knitted are the penguins and pigs, but the giraffe is quite cute too.

She has a good tail too but that doesn't show in the photo.
I thought it would be fun to knit. And I am enjoying it.
The aim is probably to give them to my great-niece for her third birthday - June next year. She probably shouldn't have them before that and I may not be finished much before then anyway!

...Interviewing (groan) again...whilst intermittently dealing with exam access arrangements without a full team. Give me strength!
The really depressing thing is that YET AGAIN, they have only invited young graduates in. We don't NEED people with degrees, we need sensible people who are literate, numerate and have common sense. All that will happen is that we'll be interviewing again when the new, shiny graduates go off and get real jobs.
Will they listen? No.
Ho hum.

Re: Today I've mostly bin...
Hear hear Bunny. I was once asked who I'd choose for an assistant and my reply surprised the partners. I picked a 30 year old whose best friend was 16 and she was still in a jazz band. Left school with no exam results that were noteworthy. What I did know was that she had worked in every dept of the office and was the only one to have done so. I also knew that she adhered to every single instruction so I knew that if I said that solicitors accounting rules say no, she wouldn't let anyone violate them. As it happened, I had to leave the firm and the day I knew that was going to happen I swapped jobs with her. She went onwards and upwards from there and now runs her own department, with a different firm, and at a greater salary.
I also discovered she had a fear of exams so I asked her to do a correspondence course without necessarily taking the exam at the end of it. She was getting 95% plus on every module she submitted. Common sense? Every time.
