Song for the day
OK so this is a weird one. Does anyone ever have a song going round in their head one day for no particular reason? Or think of a song because something they are doing or that they read triggers a memory?
I'm going to stick them here as they occur, just for my own amusement. If anyone would care to join in, please do!
July 27th
I read today that today is "National Sleepy Head Day" in Finland. Apparently the last person to wake up in the house is woken by either being thrown in a lake or has water chucked over them.
So here's the song.

Well, I read that post, and instantly, Daydream Believer popped into my head.
Unfortunately, it's unlikely to stay there, as I'm currently arranging my Christmas music for the orchestra. I look like a total lunatic wandering around humming Sleigh Ride and Joy to the World at this time of year!!!

Love it!
Today, after having coffee with one friend and then lunch with another (like you do) I went to try to purchase some trousers. So, unfortunately, today's "head song" is

Re: Song for the day
Today's is far more random. I went to visit my Dad (aged 86) in Brentwood with K today. We ended up teaching him how to do the "cup song" using plastic cups...

Shame the song is so annoying!

Blame this one on the Bunny. Having just read in another thread Bunny suggesting Maybe Tomorrow as a song - this other song has sprung in my head and won't go away...

Re: Song for the day
Well, how's this for a combo -
I currently have alternating in my head, Let It Go from Frozen, which I have finished working on today ready for the first September rehearsals for the Christmas concert, and the Bridal March, which I have to play at a wedding in a couple of weeks time.
In fact, within a 9 day period I have to play for a funeral, a wedding and a "naming ceremony" which is not a Christening, but is happening in church. It's a right weird selection of stuff I'm learning at the moment!!!

Oh my goodness, that really is a combo. I've had "The Hills are Alive..." and "Eidelweiss" in mine for the past few days. Must be the Alpine meadows! Hope this doesn't happen every day!

Re: Song for the day
Funnily enough, I was trying to find that picture of the two of us singing, but I obviously wasn't sensible enough to label the picture. Happy days.

Great ....the picture has been lost......
But a song to remind us of the same day......windmills of your mind

Re: Song for the day
I now have that one in my head (thanks, Chazzie! Although the lyrics
Lovers walking along a shore and leave their footprints in the sand
Is the sound of distant drumming just the fingers of your hand?
Is just annoying. NO the sound of distant drumming is my blasted husband who, although he couldn't actually bring his drum kit, decided to bring a rubber practice pad on holiday with him...

Re: Song for the day
Yes, but I do have to say that the peace has been rather spectacularly shattered! You can't see another house from where we are, just mountains. The only other sounds are thunder (we've had quite a lot of that) plus the odd owl and honey buzzard's call. Oh, and my husband drumming.

I love that photo! It was a fun day. I've been looking back at the pics I took too.
And Bunnylump, maybe you should create some sounds yourself to drown out the drumming?
