Guess I might have to go out AGAIN today. I'm sick of the sight of alcohol. Not necessarily drinking it but just the sight of it.

Xmas eve we'd arranged to meet some friends in the pub for an hour or so and had also arranged to meet other like minded people who were spending xmas as a twosome, in the pub on xmas day, for an hour. Then another friend kind of invited herself to us for a boxing day buffet AFTER the pub because she'd been away since Monday and missed everyone. In for a penny, I invited everyone back to us. I managed to get rid of all the leftovers but gained a cupboard full of extra booze. Last night Colin was working at the local club so I really couldn't get out of that and today is the last Sunday for most of the crowd we usually meet on Sunday afternoon because they have to be off their site on the 2nd Jan. for 2 months. It would be rude not to go and say goodbye. I am so looking forward to Monday and Tuesday and then its New years Eve........ And I just must invite everyone back again before then to drink all the booze they donated to me because we will never drink most of it. Best start baking again.

I will agree that Christmas has come round faster than ever, but it's always my support that time doesn't stand still - it means summer will arrive just as quickly!

Merry Christmas one and all :-)

Barbara said she was going to make it a nightmare to get here, but apart from a little snow on Rannoch and some localised fluddles, the roads weren't bad, with care the wind and visibility were not a big problem. Luckily for us, I think the worst weather is more northerly and in the isles.

Merry Christmas from Fort William to you all
