We went for a Birds of Prey Experience this afternoon and handled a large variety of owls, eagles and various hawks etc.
It was really interesting but v. cold!

I could share loads more photos, including feeding a sea eagle when it landed on my hand in a flying display. But I won't bore you!

Oh they were real all right. :D
I really wanted to stroke them but we were warned not to move our right hands near them as they were used to being fed by a right hand so could go for it. And it can also damage their feathers. But they were so good and really patient at being handed round to all the people there - about 20 of us in the group I think.

Today I've been learning to cook. The main part of my Christmas present was a voucher for a course at a local cookery school. So I went today and did "Spring Express Dinner Parties".

We did scallops with shallot puree and orange and watercress salad. Then rack of lamb with mustard and herb crust, port and redcurrant jus and boulangere potatoes. And mango and passion-fruit mousse.
