The summit of Ben Nevis IS sometimes visible, 340 days of the year it's not, but today, we had this view...

and yes in late October you can still get the boat tour (from which we took the Ben Nevis photo) and dinner at the Crannog, which is visible from Pumpkin's window...

Apart from driving into a ditch (the night we were heading up here) avoiding a deer jumping across in front of her, smashing the front of her car in, probable write-off, yes - pretty much, it's lovely up here.

She's fine, and we weren't involved, except in terms of helping with the aftermath and taking her to meet the recovery vehicle, etc.

The flying part was very challenging, especially the first long haul to the ghastly Las Vegas. That resulted in a 5 day stress headache! But I had to force myself to do it to enjoy everything else!

Never put off till tomorrow what you can do the day after tomorrow.
All of my puzzles are simple and obvious. For certain values of "simple" and "obvious".
