Have you ever thought of being an author? The Vampire Bunny seems to be quite a character?

moving house. Well, assuming we complete that is! Going to be off line for a few days, but that's a small price for finally being in a home of my own. :D

Delighted to report that we had a phone call to say that the move has happened and all going well :D :D
Such a relief after a very long wait to get things resolved (transferring mortgages does make things complicated!).
Eirian definitely qualifies for sainthood, I think (with this as her saint's day? - Or maybe on February 13th as a new saint for divorcees in competition with poor St Valentine who is so horribly commercialised these days......

Thomas will divide his time equally between two homes (not very far apart, so school is not disrupted), which is a good outcome and we think he will cope ok with that.
I can't wait to go up and see it in person this time next week :D

......recovering from the big freeform game weekend. Long-standing members may recall that I have previous been away at these events playing anything from a Cardinal in the Three Musketeers to W.G. Grace. This year was a bit different because I was involved in writing and running the thing (which is one of the reasons why Puzzlebrains has been a bit slow this last year..! :))

We had an ostensibly science-fiction theme, but we combined lots and lots of fantastical fiction from lots of sources in a strange mash-up of past and future. Pretty much all the players entered into the spirit of the thing, playing characters who were very rarely what they appeared to be (and sometimes that was because they didn't know themselves and found out during the game.) Some things worked well, and others didn't, but that's the nature of things like this.
Here are some of my pictures - I didn't take very many because I was quite busy...!

Here are a couple more pictures: the top one shows some of the fabulous costumes (I loved the "alien plant") and the bottom one shows two of the players determined to solve the over-complicated puzzle I'd put into the game. :) (They did in the end, with some help...)

There were 64 formal "players" plus a few who didn't have specific characters but who played a variety of temporary roles throughout the weekend. (I think we lost one of the official players and were unable to replace them but that's about all.) And then there were six GMs plus a couple of assistants who were trying to keep some sort of order (hah!!)

You mean you would consider spending a weekend dressed up as an alien plant?
