Which presumably is bunnylump speak for "we didn't win this time"
Was it that bad?
I always enjoy reading the questions, even if I don't always comment on them.

Re: Quiztastic
Well, bless them, they had clearly never been to a quiz night. So they didn't even give the answers!
They were raising funds for the World Challenge trip. The questions ranged from ridiculously easy (e.g. name the city / country of various landmarks - things like Eiffel Tower / Taj Mahal etc.) to random clips of music that nobody knew and specific questions about Sri Lanka (where the world challenge trip is going to.)
A lot of the questions were picture related (blurred logos and things like that) or things you had to listen to. So not really suitable for sharing, I'm afraid.
And for the record, it's far more usual that we fail abysmally at quiz nights than win them!
I am particularly useless at general knowledge, but do think they are quite good fun.

Re: Quiztastic
See questions above first.
I've had a thought (scary, I know!)
In the future (when I have my next set!) would any of you be up for a "live" quiz? By that I mean setting aside an hour on a mutually convenient evening, me posting rounds at certain intervals and then you lot having a set time to send me your answers by PM ? Or is that just a daft idea? If I hear nothing, I will assume daft.

Re: Quiztastic
Sounds like a fun idea. How will you make the answers google-proof though?
In the Limelight is my idea of a nightmare round though. I have a vague idea about one of the answers and no idea about any of the others!

We only got 6, 8 and 10 right out of that round. I didn't even know who Liam Payne was!

Re: Quiztastic
Should I be worried that I was more certain of answers for In the Limelight than I was for the Sport round? (Don't answer that.
)
(I do know who the members of One Direction are/were which is kind of essential for the modern Pub Quiz world.)

I don't think I'd be any good in a modern quiz then.
We did OK on the sport round but only got number 8 in the Limelight round. Didn't do too badly on general knowledge either.

Re: Quiztastic
Quick question:
I'm thinking I might do a "live" quiz soon if there is enough interest. Could I have hands up please for anyone who might like to join in please?
It would be one weekday evening (probably about 8 30 ish?) and rounds would be posted with a suitable gap for me to mark what comes back to me via PM. There would be some marathon rounds too, to keep you busy in the meantime (maybe a music quiz and pictures or dingbats or something.) You can enlist whoever happens to be lurking in your house to help you, but PLEASE no Googling, otherwise it's pointless.
You might also want to team up with other PB people if that helps.
You supply your own drinks and nibbles!
So, please reply on this thread, giving two preferred evenings as choices.
As long as I get at least 4 "teams" interested and simultaneously available, I will go for it. If not, I won't.

Yes, I'm interested. Should be ok most evenings as I don't have a life.
Re: Quiztastic
Me too. A vague preference for avoiding Tuesdays as I tend to go for a swim after work so by the time I sit down after supper at about 8.30 I am usually quite brain-dead. But if Tuesday suits others best then I will see what I can answer.maisie ladybird wrote:Yes, I'm interested. Should be ok most evenings as I don't have a life.
Re: Quiztastic
I would be keen. It would be easier to find out when the schedule is worked out and then see whether I can fit it in.
