Happy birthday, Fishy Friend. :)

Thanks! Well, I wouldn't say EXCITING, exactly. But I am going out for a sandwich in a pub and a nice walk with D K and the pickle, then Dibble should arrive, and I'm going out with them and more besides for a Thai meal. So basically, eating a lot. I've started the birthday early (yesterday) by already going out for lunch with my girl friends. So how long do you think I can stretch this one out? :D It's always seemed so unfair to only have ONE birthday... 8-)

Well I always have at least a couple of days - usually first to last are about four months apart.

But sounds good anyway, have fun!

Yes, the sun did, indeed, shine brightly all day. The walk was lovely (Lee Valley - past lakes / scrapes and past ruins of the abbey and fish ponds etc.) although I think that Donald is quite tired after carrying the pickle for 5 miles or so!

My special birthday treat each year is a morning at the Garden Centre buying boring bags of compost and gro-bags  (I seem to remember Strep doing something similar.... ;) )
Though we did add in some bedding plants as well to brighten up the front garden a bit straight away :D - and some seeds to start off in the greenhouse. So all in all, a birthday present to last all year long.

Oh wow - birthday part 2......: My lovely daughter knows how to make an old lady very happy with a simple gift :o :P
A surprise delivery of hundreds (yes hundreds!) of daffodils arrived this afternoon.
Can't wait for them to open up in a day or two - they will be dazzling! I ran out of vases but found some alternative containers, so they are now spread all around the house. Picture to follow next week (maybe)
