Lovely scenery though! :)

Well today I was up a ladder under a leaky gutter pouring water all over me and the wifi dish, so... swings and roundabouts

Thanks for the lovely pictures. A reminder that a clear blue sky in Scotland is out of this world - and briings with it that wonderful deep blue sea.... makes up for all the grey days!

and, apparently quite rare. Probably had a total of 3 or 4 hours of blue sky since November that I can tell!
I was laughing with colleagues around Christmas time that I am wondering whether I will ever need my sunglasses again. I still haven't worn them.
(But I get the impression it's been pretty bleak everywhere, not just in the Highland Rain Capital.)

Well it was so dark here today we drew the curtains at 3pm! Everywhere is like a quagmire - even our front drive, which, in an environmentally conscious moment, we built with supporting grid with grass on it- is just like a mud pit. Certainly not ideal with the new hall and stairs carpet!

That said, when we went to Sockland last May, we had fabulous weather for the first week!

Oh we've been blessed with brilliant weather on most of our regular visits over the years. Just since we're all up here together it's been pretty consistently dreich.
But so have lots of places.
I heard it said we should put the year 2020 in a bag of rice, like you do to dry out a movile phone you've dropped in the water.

We'll probably be moaning about heat and drought in the summer though.

.....packing.
A week today we move house. After nearly 24 years and 4 children, there’s so much ‘stuff’. It’s quite cathartic having a clear out, emotional when finding things I’d not seen for years (and didn’t even know we still had). The loft was housing 5 old tellys, 4 empty Xbox boxes and an old pram amongst all the other tat.

It's ridiculous the stuff we hoard, isn't it? We had a massive clear out of our loft a few years ago, and I said to D that we shouldn't put anything new up there. Needless to say, he still does, so it's back to being jam packed with rubbish again.

Good luck with the move. I hope it all goes smoothly! :D

Thanks.

Yes, that’s what I was hoping for too. But we’ve got nowhere else for the stuff to go, so a lot of it’s got to go back in the new loft.

A case of out of sight, out of mind!

I went to Carradale yesterday, on Kintyre, near Campbeltown. You can see the Isle of Arran across the water.
