Cook the stuffing and bacon rolls separately then he doesn't need to eat them?

Thats easy. Hack a leg off the turkey and cook it separately. Stuff the rest of it and cook the bacon rolls around it. Make sure his leg (or breast) is above the rest of it in the oven so nothing drips onto his portion. I got some tips from son's ex who was a veggie who didn't like vegetables or salad. Try cooking for that one. :D

Yeah, that's one of the reasons I'm not a veggie. Just don't like rabbit food. (Well, that, and the fact that I couldn't give up bacon sandwiches... :D)

Purple is the ONLY colour for a rabbit. Didn't you know that?

I don't know if this has been shown before but it's in total contrast with the title of this thread.

Today's classic comment.

Alfie: "Miss, someone told me that Coca Cola used to have cocaine in it - is that true?"

Me: "Yes, Alfie, I believe that was the case. But it isn't in it any more."

Alfie: "So is does that mean that Coco Pops have cocaine in them as well? I had them for breakfast!"

Out playing in the snow today with Roo (previously known as Bun). We managed to relight the little bonfire they had going yesterday.

'Fire,' he says.
'Yes'.
'Hot,' he adds. Very knowledgeable one-year-old.
'Yes'.
'Happy Birthday to you!' he sings to the campfire.
'Ffufff!' He tries to blow it out.
'Hurray!!!' He claps.

How do you explain to a one-year-old that a campfire is not the same as birthday candles??? It's all just a question of scale I suppose!

  Bless him! There is a posh term for that, I can't remember what it is now. Basically little people learn by their experiences, then try to rationalise their world by pigeonholing things together which are broadly similar. So for example, babies tend to call all birds "duck" because that's the thing they know. It's the same with physical things, like flames or types of food. Having said that, sometimes they get confused - for example, my nephew was absolutely convinced that an "elephant" was called an "omelette".

Anyway, the bonfire might be like a birthday candle if you were the BFG...

My grandsons paternal great grandfather has been ill for a while but last week the end became inevitible.
Mum prepared Daniel and told him Pops would be going to heaven soon just like his fish & cat had done.

"That means I won't be able to see him any more won't it?"
10 minutes thinking time." Everyone has to go to heaven one day don't they?"
Another 10 mins thinking time
"Mum, when will grandma have to go to heaven?" (Me)
"Hopefully not for a long time yet" says mum "but people do have accidents and have to go to heaven a little bit soon"
Another 10 mins.
"Mum, can I ring grandma?"

And the conversation went like this.

"Grandma, if you have to go to heaven like Pops, will you give mummy enough money to pay for my Binweevils before you go"

   Oh, that's classic!!

I had to laugh at work. One of my colleagues' daughters has just acquired a new boyfriend (who is in year 10). My colleague asked him what he was doing at college (he's one of those students who spends part of the time at school and one day a week at college). He apparently replied "Well...I'm doing carpentry. But I don't like it much. It doesn't seem to have anything do do with making carpets, which is what I THOUGHT I had applied for..."  I don't think he's the sharpest tool in the box...

Here's a conversation I've just had with my youngest daughter. We were looking out the window waving off my eldest daughter to school.

Me: Look, it's windy out there
Ruby: Where?
Me: Out there.
R: Well, I can't see!
A few seconds later...
R: What colour hair's she got?
Me: Who?
R: Windy.
