I can't get started at all on the Scurra puzzle. I don't think there are any clues that I can tie down to a single answer which doesn't help in seeing what is meant to be going on. Any chance of a starting hint?

I have fixed a couple of errors in the above list (one enumeration and one sequential - thanks Bunnylump!) Hopefully there aren't any others (he says with everything crossed again.)

edit: hah. Another enumeration error (thanks LAT) for Flower / should be (7) not (6)

Well yes.

Most of my first guesses at the most obvious answers to those clues are the wrong length!

Can we assume that these are in alpha order again?

Well, I would hope so, but as we've established over 15 long years that I can't count or spell, I wouldn't rely on it.

No, not an April fool, although the Jester did play one on me when he sent in his answer! 🤣

BTW, as has been si clearly demonstrated on a number of occasions, I can't count. 🤣There should be 45 squares. Thanks LAT!

OK, so here is my offering for the merry month of May. For this, I apologise in advance, as I suspect it may be quite hard! As I obviously don't have anything fancy and interactive to offer, I will just tell you that I am prepared to either confirm or deny groups that you guess as you go along - although as I am away for four days I may not respond immediately. I will post any guesses (correct or incorrect) on this thread under spoilers.

The little grid of numbers is enumeration for the intended answers, in alphabetical order.

The other thing I will say is that three of the groups in this grid have something which could be added to their group's connection, rather than the actual connection itself. In other words, a very obvious omission from a group. Confused? I know I am!

OK, I'm back! :)
So it seems this is very hard. So I will give you some more hints.

1. There are 3 "these are four things that go together, what's the missing part" type clues. Below, I will give you one from each group:
Felicity / grill / ghost

2. Once you have all of your groups, you will need to do another grid (sorry!) This one also has one of the "missing component" type connections.

3. In the initial grid, there are two categories which contain hidden words.

I can add more clues if needed!

Hmmm, possibly time to reconsider whether a couple of the groups I had are correct.

Can I ask about the groups with a missing a member, does that mean the groups can be different sizes?

I've got at least a couple of groups that could arguably have more than one additional member but where one answer seems much more likely than others. :)

Exactly that. You could have some peripheral extras but these are the main missing ones - the most obvious.
